Mastering the Fundamentals: Single Leg X Guard

In this clip, Professor Nick breaks down the essentials of controlling a standing opponent from the ground using the Single Leg X guard.

Key Takeaways:
✅ Precise foot placement on the hip combined with a post on the lat creates a solid frame for maximum control.
✅ By lifting and rotating, you force your opponent to shift their weight.
✅ When they instinctively push back to avoid falling, use that momentum to take them down or tighten your control.

Success in Jiu Jitsu isn’t about the flashiest moves; it’s about who executes the fundamentals with the most precision. Keep showing up, keep drilling, and the results will follow.
