🎳 WELCOME TO A NEW SEASON, YOUTH BOWLERS! 🎳

Today marks the beginning of another exciting season, and all of your coaches are so excited to be on this journey with you! ❤️

This season isn’t just about scores, strikes, or picking up spares. It’s about growing — as bowlers and as people. We want you to learn, challenge yourself, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun!

This year, we’re going to work on getting our mechanics down, learning new techniques, trying things we’ve never tried before, and discovering what each of you is capable of. There may be times when something doesn’t work right away, and that’s okay! Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and every challenge is a chance to get better.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to try something new. And don’t be afraid to make mistakes. That’s how we grow.

Our biggest goal this season is for every bowler to look back at the end and say:

“I became a better bowler, I became a better person, and I had an amazing time doing it.” 💙🎳

We believe in every single one of you, and we’re proud to have you as part of our bowling family.

First week of league is in da books!!! Welcome to all the new families joining YBC - Youth Bowling of Clovis and all the returning families. It was great to see all of you.

Huge thanks to Chris Skelton, Anne Marie Skelton, and Chris Pitts for coming thru to assist with the USBC certifications. Your help was much appreciated. Thanks to my left and right hand coaches, Craig Torres and Teniya Táye for stepping up and getting the bowlers organized. Congratulations to Brandi Baldwin on her new role as YBC Secretary/Treasurer (she was volun-TOLD 😁). And thanks to all the YBC Youth Leaders - Dominic A., Jacob F., Kaiden M., Brandon T. for being in attendance and introducing yourselves.

As a reminder, starting next week, league fees will be $17. Lucky Strike will take credit card payments if paid in FOUR WEEK increments ($68). Pay envelopes will be prepared with team/bowler's information. REMINDER: only the YBC Secretary will complete the envelopes. Complete the payment information on the pay receipt ONLY.

We look forward to seeing everyone next week for more bowling, fun, and friendship. Don't forget to bring a friend (or two!).

Just a FRIENDLY REMINDER!!!

Youth Bowling of Clovis league starts on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 11:00am at Lucky Strike Clovis. There will be a PARENT MEETING while the youth bowl. This is a REGULAR LEAGUE DAY so the $15 league fee is due in addition to $4 for USBC certification if it was not completed on www.bowl.com. We will have several items to discuss so your attendance is greatly appreciated.

Home BOWL.com is the interactive home for USBC, the national governing body of bowling. We’re a membership organization that provides standardized rules, regulations and benefits to make bowling fair and fun for everyone.

YBC Parents and Youth Bowlers:

With the new season upon us, we have gotten information about an increase in the league lineage to $12.75. This increase will cut into the SMART funds to the bowlers. The youth bowling league fees have not increased in several years due to the low lineage over the years. Due to this increase, Youth Bowling of Clovis is asking parents' opinion on increasing the weekly league fee:

Current league fee: $15 with $2.25/week ($67.50/total 30 weeks) for the bowlers' SMART funds

Proposed league fee: $17 with $4.25/week ($127.50/total 30 weeks) for the bowlers' SMART funds

Proposed league fee: $18 with $5.25/week ($157.50/total 30 weeks) for the bowlers' SMART funds

These proposed amounts will be voted on during the PARENT MEETING on September 13, 2026 at 11:00 am

*30 week season is contingent on the needs of Lucky Strike (tournaments, buyouts, etc.)

IT'S ABOUT THAT TIME!!!! We are ONE MONTH away from the start of the 2026-2027 youth bowling season. We are planning a great season full of SMART scholarship opportunities, teamwork, and friendships. Our coaching staff is ready and waiting to provide your youth bowler guidance and assistance with their game. We hope to see you Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 11:00am!

Required fees: $4 USBC certification fee (separate)
