š Shoutout to Our Incredible TKE Parents! š„
What an AMAZING week at TKE Martial Arts!
We want to give a huge shoutout to all of our parents who have stepped out on the mat and joined classes alongside their kids. Watching you train together, support each other, and share that experience has been something really special.
We also kicked off (no pun intended š) our new Teen & Adult class this week⦠and itās already bringing great energy
To our students who earned their new belts this week⦠we are SO proud of you. Your hard work, focus, and perseverance are paying off!
And to our parents⦠major kudos to you. Getting out there, trying something new, and pushing yourselves is exactly what we stand for.
At TKE, we say it all the time⦠Lead by example.
And thatās exactly what youāre doing.
Your kiddos are watching⦠and they are learning from YOU š

š„ TKE Leadership Spotlight: Welcome Noah to TKE! š
Noah recently joined the TKE Leadership Team, and we are excited to have him as part of our community.
Before coming to TKE, Noah trained for four years at the American Academy of Martial Arts in Clovis under Sensei Jeff and other instructors who helped guide his journey. During that time he developed experience with several traditional martial arts weapons including nunchucks, bo staff, escrima sticks, canes, and bokkens (wood swords).
Now Noah is continuing his martial arts journey with us and is excited to be mentored under Kwanjangnim Russ as he continues to grow his skills and deepen his knowledge of the martial arts.
One of the things we already admire about Noah is his willingness to help others. As a leadership student, he is eager to guide and encourage our lower belts as they work to master their own skills.
Weāre grateful Noah and his family are now part of the TKE Martial Arts family, and weāre looking forward to watching him grow both on and off the mat.
Welcome to TKE, Noah! šš„š¤

WOW. Just⦠WOW.
TKE Family, our hearts are full tonight. š
The energy in the studio today was incredible. Our community showed up in a big way, the studio was packed, and our Leadership Team absolutely delivered. Watching them perform and seeing the support from all of you was something truly special.
We are honestly a little at a loss for words.
TKE exists because of this community. Because of the families who show up week after week, the students who work hard on the mat, and the parents, friends, and grandparents who come out to support them.
Today was a reminder of how special this TKE family really is.
If we didnāt get a chance to say hello or spend a moment chatting with you today, please know it wasnāt intentional. We were running around making sure everything kept moving, but we saw you, we appreciate you, and weāre so grateful you were there.
From the bottom of our heartsā¦
Thank you for supporting TKE.
Thank you for believing in what we are building.
And thank you for being part of this incredible community.
We truly canāt get enough of all of you.
More photos and moments from today coming soon. šš„

One day your child will look back at the things they almost quit.
The hard classes.
The sore muscles.
The nights they didnāt feel confident yet.
And they wonāt remember how hard it felt.
Theyāll remember the moment they pushed through it.
Recently a grandparent shared something with us that really stuck.
Her grandson wanted to quit.
She had gone through something similar with another child years ago and later regretted allowing them to walk away from an activity too soon.
So this time she encouraged him to push through the hard part.
Today he loves coming to class and is even asking about joining our Leadership Program.
That doesnāt mean there wonāt be more hurdles along the way.
Growth always comes with challenges.
But sometimes the moment a child wants to quitā¦
is exactly the moment they need encouragement the most.
Martial arts isnāt about raising great fighters.
Itās about raising resilient kids.
Sometimes the best thing a parent can say is:
āYou donāt have to like it today⦠but youāre not quitting.ā
And when they push throughā¦
something amazing often happens on the other side. šš„

Do you know why itās called a āfeedā?
Because it feeds the mind.
And if you donāt choose what feeds your childās mindā¦
something else will.
Todayās algorithms study your childās attention.
What they watch.
What they linger on.
What makes them feel not enough.
And attention shapes identity.
If kids constantly consume comparisonā¦
they feel behind.
If they consume outrageā¦
they become reactive.
If they consume distractionā¦
focus disappears.
At TKE Martial Arts, we train something different.
Focus.
Self-control.
Confidence under pressure.
Because a child who can control their attentionā¦
can control their future.
Guard your childās attention.
Because what feeds themā¦
forms them.

š TWO YEARS OF TKE š
Two years ago tomorrow, we were handed the keys to a building with cement floors, outdated paint, and pony walls dividing the space.
No members.
No community.
No guarantee.
Just a husband and wife team with a vision.
KJN Russ began martial arts nearly 50 years ago as a six year old child. Through decades of training and leadership, he earned the rank of 7th Degree Black Belt. But when we opened here, no one knew that history.
They simply saw two people willing to show up every day.
We rebuilt the space ourselves with our kids.
Knocked down walls.
Redid the flooring.
Repainted everything.
Moved the bathroom door so it was accessible from the mat.
Created what we believed this community deserved.
Some of our first members trained when the walls were still bare. Just mats and belief.
Tomorrow we celebrate TWO YEARS surrounded by a community that feels like family.
We are not known for just kicks and punches.
We are known for discipline.
For loyalty.
For character.
For respect.
Our members are the pulse of this studio.
Without you, there is no TKE.
Next Saturday we celebrate and invite our community to come take class, stop by, and be part of it.
This is more than martial arts.
This is family. š

š Meet Mrs. Rocchi š
At TKE Martial Arts, KJN Russ leads on the mat. Behind the scenes, Mrs. Rocchi helps lead in a different way.
As co owner of TKE, she is often the first face families see at the front desk and the one organizing the details that shape the overall experience.
If you have ever received a handwritten card, a small welcome packet, a thoughtful holiday treat, or walked into an event that felt intentionally prepared, you have seen part of her work.
She has always stood during every belt promotion simply to be present for the moment. She quietly pauses what she is doing and stands to watch each student receive their belt.
After briefly stepping out before one student received their new belt, that student asked the next day if she had seen the promotion.
That was the moment she realized her presence mattered more than she knew.
The photo shared here reflects what many do not always see. The preparation before the event. The setup before the celebration. The work behind the moments.
Family owned at TKE means both owners are fully invested.
On the mat.
At the front desk.
Behind the scenes.
For every student. šš„š¤

Meet KJN Russ! šš„
KJN Russ is the type of coach kids instantly connect with the one they talk about on the ride home and actually listen to (must be nice, right?).
Known for his dad jokes, high energy, and just-the-right amount of tough love, Coach Russ knows how to keep classes fun while still holding students to a high standard. Kids feel encouraged, challenged, and proud of themselves after every class.
Parents, if you want your child surrounded by a positive role model who teaches discipline, focus, respect, and confidenceāthis is exactly what that looks like.
