It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Claudia Fletcher, our official Clovis Rodeo artist for over 30 years. Not only did she contribute to our iconic annual Rodeo posters, but she shared her passion of art around the Central Valley. Her art is also featured at the Fresno Fairgrounds Museum.

There will be a celebration of life luncheon held at the Rodeo Hall on Sunday, June 9th, at 1PM.

Our Story

Since the early days of the last century, springtime in Clovis has always meant harvesting crops and driving your livestock down to the rail lines to be shipped. When all the local cattle ranchers got to town, of course they had to find out who was the best at different ranching activities. We may do the driving differently now, but the tradition of competition continues on to this day. Every springtime, the last full weekend in April to be exact, the Clovis Rodeo comes to town! Today its professional cowboys competing for prizes, but the food, drink and camaraderie of the community remain a staple of what makes Clovis and the Western Way of Life important. Come join us every April in Clovis for Rodeo Month! Activities happen every weekend during rodeo month, don’t miss ‘em!
