Skyland Camp & Retreats is a beautiful mountain getaway that is steeped in history, love, and a whole lot of fun. Skyland began as a mountain hotel in the late 1800s, and then served as a privately-owned overnight camp for girls for more than 100 years, Skyland now serves girls, women, families (and humanity!) in new and beautiful ways. The Skyland property, with its tree-lined paths, babbling brooks, and cabins with screened-in sleeping porches, is the perfect location for you to experience one of our mini-camps, host a family reunion, or participate in one of our equine programs.

Through their care and hard work, our joyous, silly team made every moment magical this summer and touched the lives of every camper who stepped foot on The Hill.

The Spirit of Skyland shined so bright in 2026 ✨

Girls, women, moms, daughters, kids, adults — all Skyland campers. Together, we shared moments of joy and magic that will last a lifetime. We cherish our time spent together on The Hill, and our hearts are so full. Thank you, campers, for spending part of your summer at Skyland!

It’s hard to believe, but after an incredible summer, it’s almost time to close up camp for the season. Join us in the last camp gathering of 2026 - Closing Volunteer Work Weekend, September 17th - 21st!

Volunteers must be 21+ and can stay for the whole weekend, or for however long their schedule allows. Projects include packing, organizing, moving furniture, and cleaning. Find more info and register at skylandcamp.com/volunteer-work-weekend or using the links in our bio.

We had the honor of welcoming a Skyland alum, and her family, back to camp 75 years after she was a camper!

Katherine Haggerty (camp name) attended camp in 1951 and 1952. This past weekend, we welcomed her entire family (including 15 great-grandchildren!) to Skyland for a very special family reunion.

We had the best time playing in the rain, looking through Bunny and Betty Stanley's scrapbooks for photos of Kathy, and of course, performing in a camp talent show.

Through her perfectly-preserved letters, we learned that Kathy's counselor was Rosie, and Nurse Winnie took her to church on Sunday's. Some things never change- even in the 50s, campers asked for candy and gum!

Thank you to the Carroll family for kicking off our season on such a wonderful note!

We're excited to welcome Amelia Kate to the Skyland team! She will be joining us for Girls Camp and we're so glad she'll be lending her skills to camp this summer. Here's what Amelia Kate has to say:

"I’m excited to work at Skyland this summer because I have always wanted to attend summer camp/ become a counselor and it’s such a unique opportunity to be part of a positive, uplifting environment where girls can grow, connect, and have fun!

Summer camp is a place where people can be themselves, step outside of their comfort zones, and build confidence. It’s a space filled with sisterhood, fun, and lots of memories. I am looking forward to the friendships I will make and to being a part of all the Skyland traditions.

I hope to create a positive and welcoming environment where campers feel safe and supported. I hope to be a role model by showing kindness, patience, and positivity in everything I do and to be someone campers feel comfortable turning to in both times of challenge and excitement.

I am so excited!!"
