Charm City Ballet (CCB) is a Baltimore County-based performance company and academy. Our focus is on original full-length ballet productions, as well as giving dancers a well-rounded and thorough ballet education. We bring together a wide range of age and experience to expand the perspective and reach of the performing arts, particularly ballet, in the greater Baltimore area. CCB’s academy offers a full schedule of classes for dancers ages 3 through adult. Both Goucher College graduates of 2009 and local dance instructors, they sought a new artistic outlet but also wanted to create high-level performance and dance education opportunities for local dancers. Through CCB, they have employed a unique combination of high quality training/coaching mixed with a warm family feel that makes for a comprehensive and enriching experience. Our Shows:
Original scoring and choreography combine to evoke emotion and bring to life stories not typically shared in a full-length ballet format. Using a refined sense of musicality and commanding character performances uncommon to many nonprofessional ballet companies, we strive to redefine what it means to experience “local” ballet. CCB produces two full-length ballet productions every year: one in the winter and one in the spring. Our annual winter production is of Charles Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol," and it is performed in December, and our spring production is another full-length story ballet that changes yearly and is held in June. All of our productions are cast based on our open auditions and we welcome dancers from all schools/studios. For more information, visit our website: www.charmcityballet.com

At Charm City Ballet, we carefully place every dancer based not just on age, but also experience, maturity, and readiness.

Our goal is simple: put your child in the class where they can grow most confidently and successfully.

I see some students get promoted and then immediately relax, thinking they’re all set.

It doesn’t work like that!

If you stop pushing yourself because you believe that you have already done the work, your dancing will suffer, and yes, your teachers will notice!

In a new level? Great!
And sincere Congratulations are well deserved!

But that’s only Step 1!

The next step is the focus, commitment, and work to prove that your teachers were right to promote you!

We have a simple referral program that benefits both of you. 👇

When you refer a new family:
• You receive tuition credit — $50 for the first family, $100 for the second, and $200 for the third; after three, the cycle resets.
• The family you refer receives 10% off their first year’s tuition and a waived registration fee

All they need to do is mention your name when they register. Your credit is applied after they complete four weeks of class.

It’s our way of saying thank you for sharing your love of CCB with others. ♥

With all the chaos that lingers in our day-to-day lives, this will be a special opportunity to share something joyful with each other and with the world.
