Merry Christmas and NO snow plow Sunday 🥶
Beautiful morning in the Southfork Valley!
Ice conditions for the festival will be awesome.

FYI...

ICE CLIMBERS: The season's first avalanche fatality in North America happened on Sunday, 11/12. A climber was on "Lone Ranger" and was swept away and buried when they were hit with a natural avalanche. Their partner could not locate them.

We have similar conditions: dirt down low, snow up high, and weak layers of sugary facets buried under some wind slabs. A skier triggered a wind sab on Mt Blackmore on Sunday and it's likely there are more that could be triggered. Even a small avalanche can have deadly consequences if you are swept off a cliff.

This is just a friendly, early season reminder to be safe and enjoy yourself!
