North Idaho Distance Project

The North Idaho Distance Project Summer Running Program is open to runners ages 8–14+ who want to spend part of their summer building endurance and being part of a group that loves to run. This is a close knit community of runners who work hard and make friends with kids from schools all over North Idaho. Many come back year after year.

Some runners join because they want to be ready for school cross country. Others simply enjoy running and being active. Some will go on to compete with the NIDP Fall Team and work toward the USATF Cross Country Junior Olympics.

Summer Running Session:
📅 July 7–30, 2026
📍 Various locations around Coeur d'Alene
🏃 Ages 8–14+ (high school runners are welcome too)
💪 12 training sessions throughout July
💲 $250 per runner
❤️ Scholarships available

If your child can run a mile without stopping and is looking for a great group to train with this summer, we'd love to have them join us.

Registration is open now and closes June 20, or when the program fills.

North Idaho Distance Project has big goals for this season and we sre just getting started. 🔥 The season kicked off at the Inland Northwest Association race and now our team advances to Regionals on November 22nd.

Pumped to see the CDA Distance crew racing at NXR tomorrow. A bunch of them are former NIDP athletes we’ve trained and raced with. Now we get to be the ones cheering them on. Go CDA Distance!
