Final points race of the season tonight at Thunder Road. 🏁

Before we ever roll through the gate, I want to recognize the people and businesses who helped make this season possible.

Every logo on this car represents somebody who believed in what we were building — whether that meant money, parts, products, fabrication, advice, time, or simply stepping up when we needed it. Grassroots racing doesn’t happen without people like that behind you.

We’ve had plenty of ups, downs, late nights, broken parts, lessons learned and some damn good runs along the way. Through all of it, our supporters have been part of the ride.

Full reset in the shop today — every tool and part came out, the floor got scrubbed, and everything went back where it belongs.

One of the benefits of racing clean is not spending the weekend fixing bent or broken stuff. Instead, I got to focus on maintenance, organization, and the little things that make the whole program better.

Races are won in the shop… sometimes the shop needs a pit stop too.

Clean shop. Car intact. Maintenance handled. Ready for the next one.

Well, third time was finally the charm and we actually got this damn race in. 😂🏁

We unloaded with some speed right away. Practice was a 14.443, so Thumper felt pretty damn good out of the box.

That carried into the heat. We started 6th and drove up to 2nd in 8 laps, finishing just 0.220 behind the winner. We also had the fastest lap of the heat with a 14.803 on lap 7. Definitely one of the better little races we’ve put together this year.

Then came the 30-lap feature. We ended up P10, which wasn’t quite the finish we were looking for, but the car still had speed late. We ran a 14.651 on lap 27, which was 3rd fastest out of 27 cars, and finished only 1.487 seconds behind the winner.

We took another swing at the setup tonight and learned some more. I know what I want from it next — I need it to rotate better when I’m getting back to full throttle — but we’re damn close. This thing keeps getting better every time we mess with it.

Tonight was also about something bigger than racing. We ran this one in memory of Warrene’s mom, the matriarch of the Goslant family, who gained her wings last night.

I’d like to think she hopped in for the ride tonight with my dad. ❤️

We’ll keep digging. Thumper’s got more in it.

Third time’s the charm. 🌧️➡️🏁

After Mother Nature got the first two wins, we’re loading the Horse Dogs two by two and heading back to Thunder Road tonight for attempt number three.

The THUMPER is ready, the crew is ready, and hopefully the ark can finally stay parked.

Tonight means a little more than racing, though. We’ll be racing in memory of the matriarch of the Goslant family, who gained her wings last night. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Warrene and the entire Goslant family.

And tonight, she’ll be hopping in for a ride along with my dad — two special passengers with us for every lap. ❤️

Tonight we’re taking a bodacious swing at a new setup on the .

Springs shuffled, ideas tested, and now there’s only one way to know if we found something excellent or completely bogus:

The goal — get Thumper turning better, free him up off the corner, and find a little more speed.

Putting this one out into the racing universe.

As part of my making memories comeback tour, there’s one more thing I’d really like to check off the list:

I want to race an ACT-style Late Model at Thunder Road. It will complete my goal of competing in all 4 of the current day divisions.

I’m not looking to jump divisions, start a Late Model career, or convince anybody I’m the next big thing. I just want the opportunity to experience one complete race day in a car I’ve always wanted to drive.

I can provide my own seat, and I fully understand that these cars cost real money to operate. I’m not looking for a free ride. I’m interested in a legitimate rental opportunity where the expectations, cost, and damage responsibility are all laid out clearly ahead of time.

My goal would be simple: respect the equipment, respect the people who made the opportunity possible, stay within my abilities, and make a damn good memory out of it.

This whole return to racing has been about doing things I’ll remember for the rest of my life, and this feels like one more chapter I need to add.

Ride along from last Sunday as we moved from p22->p9
