We planned on tonight being warm-up night, but we didn't count on it being THIS warm! Our Cyclone trap shooters are ready for the fall season to kick off next week!

When your team is so big you have to step waaayyyy back for photos! Our Cyclone trap shooters kicked off the fall season at our Meet the Cyclones event last night. All members in grades 8-12 were introduced to the community on our new school football field.

We had a phenomenal turnout for our fall trap team sign-up! Looks like we might set a new record for team members and we couldn't be more excited! Thanks to all the families who expressed interest in our sport for the fall 2026 season.

We are looking forward to the start of our fall season! For any athlete needing a sports physical, check out the MDH clinic on Monday, August 3rd.

Cyclone Trap Team Takes Part in National Competition The Community News Brief is a locally owned newspaper that is published 3x/week consisting of local news, featues, obituaries, events and more in and around Macomb and McDonough County

Our team had a fantastic experience at the USA Clay Target League National Tournament in Mason, Michigan this week! Represented by Maya Hofmeister, Aiden Percy, Cody Peters, Ethan Sartorius, Jack Zimmerman, Charlie Zimmerman, and Cameron Peters, the kids outperformed their regular-season averages and both scored and placed higher than their previous national tournament showing. Full details of the week are below, but a special shout-out goes to the families for making the commitment to participate and to Coach Peters and Coach McCullough for traveling with the team.

Maya Hofmeister: 24-25-24-25, final score: 98/100
Aiden Percy: 24-21-22-19, final score: 86/100
Ethan Sartorius: 24-25-23-23, final score: 95/100
Cody Peters: 21-21-24-20, final score: 86/100
Jack Zimmerman: 24-22-20-19, final score: 85/100

Individual Qualifier Results:

Cody Peters: final score 92/100, 682nd out of 1495 males
Charlie Zimmerman: final score 90/100, 877th out of 1495 males
Aiden Percy: final score 88/100, 1064th out of 1495 males
Jack Zimmerman: final score 84/100, 1288th out of 1495 males
