5RHYTHMS Hudson Valley
Saturday, September 12th and 26th, 2026
5:00 - 6:30PM
$23
Second Saturday and last Saturday Every Month from 5pm - 6:30pm
5Rhythms is a dance practice created by the dancer/musician Gabrielle Roth in which participants gather in a supportive community, dancing instinctively to music, guided by a certified teacher/DJ. It is a combination between group meditation and dancing with the ecstatic abandon of someone who is absolutely certain they are all alone, but instead are in a supportive community. Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a brave space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free.
The 5Rhythms are: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness. Classes last two hours. They begin slow, the pace pick ups in the middle and end with a slow unwinding.
Wear clothes you can move in, dance barefoot or with indoor sneakers, bring a water bottle and your open heart. This is a drug and alcohol free practice.

River Song is a sound healing practitioner, musician, and vocal artist who offers a transformative approach to sound healing. Using only instruments tuned to 432 Hz, a frequency often associated with nature and the Earth, alongside gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and her own voice, Jodie creates immersive experiences that go beyond relaxation and meditation. Her sound baths are designed to help participants move through stagnant energy, release what no longer serves them, and create space to rebuild and reconnect in a more empowered way. Looking Ahead to October...
In honor of October, an Enchanting Fantasy Writing Workshop!
Saturday, October 3
12:00 - 2:00pm
$40
Catherine Stine, a USA Today bestselling author of urban and historical fantasy will lead a two-hour workshop at The Collective at 75 Main St. in Cold Spring, NY
After a group round of introductions, Catherine will talk on what makes compelling story: relatable characters, motivations, and unexpected plot twists, with a focus on fantasy. Her workshop specialty is what she calls Unintentional or Intuitive Writing – getting participants to delve into the raw edges of creating without overthinking. Guts not brains. To accomplish this, she will have people get into a comfy state – laying on yoga mats with eyes closed, or simply heads resting on folded arms. Then she’ll do a guided visualization regarding your fictional character - be it hero, heroine, villain, or a side character. One who you will not know or meet until the visualization! LOL. This part is a delightful and unique surprise!
After this, students will get up and write. And then, comes the super-fun part, people read their pieces and talk about what unexpectedly popped up. There will also be time for a Q and A session. Every participant will get a signed copy of one of Catherine’s Witch Books.
About the Author:
Catherine Stine is a USA Today bestselling author of historical, urban, and paranormal fantasy with suspense. Witch of the Wild Beasts won second prize in the Romance Writers Sheila Contest. Other novels have earned Indie Notable awards and New York Public Library Best Books. Her newest urban fantasy series, Sleuths of Shadow Salon is set in Savannah, Georgia, and stars Celestine and Luna, two fierce supernatural women investigators. She has stories in fantasy collections, including her “Murder in the Voodoo Vault” in the forthcoming Penguin anthology, Death Maidens: Tales of Off-Duty Valkyries. Catherine hails from Philadelphia and lives in New York State. She has taught creative writing at the School of Visual Arts for years, and now plans to offer writing workshops in upstate NY.

Monthly Yoga Nidra with Dani
Wednesday, October 14th, 2026
6:00 - 7:00 PM
$23
Led By Dani Locastro
If you find it hard to switch off, this class is for you!
We all need more rest - achieving this however, can be very challenging, especially if you find it hard to relax, fall asleep, or stay asleep. This Yoga for Deep Rest class aims to support your body in fully relaxing, allowing the mind and body to soften and the nervous system to settle.
This class is about letting go of physical and mental stress, and encouraging your sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight, freeze) to dial down and your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) to dial up - promoting balance and helping you to reset.
You will be guided into supportive asanas to relax the body, and then guided through a Yoga Nidra mediation, a special place of sleepless sleep where you listen to your internal pulse of just being, enhanced with essential oils.
