And that is a wrap on our spring session.
We enjoyed an afternoon of golf and laughs along with a simple reminder for what this game is all about, community!
We were proud to share gifts from a TERP and Veteran Owned company as a small token of appreciation for those that serve and have served our country.
The community built, confidence gained will last far beyond the golf course!

These patriots braved the windy conditions again this week to work on the long game, getting a better understanding of hitting their driver and fairway woods. Then they got to choose how to spend their time practicing. Some even spent time on their short game skills.

Yesterday concluded the opening week of our clinics. We had a special guest yesterday Lt. General Roger Turner, Commanding General of the Marine Expeditionary Force who spoke with our patriots.
We look forward to continuing the growth of this program and creating a community of golfers through the military services both active duty and retired.

Even when the golf course is closed for aeration, there’s still plenty happening out here.
Yesterday while the University of Maryland Golf Course was closed for our spring aeration, we were lucky to have a group of birders walking the course capturing photos of the incredible wildlife that calls the property home. From mourning doves to woodpeckers the course provides an important green space and habitat right in the heart of the community.
Golf courses aren’t just for golf—they play a valuable role in supporting local ecosystems and providing safe spaces for wildlife to thrive.
We’re proud that the University of Maryland Golf Course can serve both golfers and nature alike. 🌿🐦

After a busy weekend hosting the Maryland Women's Golf TERPS Invitational, we have begun our greens aeration process.
Although it looks disruptive, it is a key step to providing quality playing surfaces. The Golf Course will be closed all day today April 7th and reopen at 10am on Wednesday, April 8th.
The driving range is from 10a-8pm today.
We appreciate your patience as we strive to provide better playing conditions for the golf season ahead!
