TQ25 Registration opens at 9am on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2025
NEW THIS YEAR! Registration will not take place on the RecWell website, INSTEAD, we will be using a third party secure platform called CampDOC. This is the same platform we use to secure medical records for all campers.
A special link has been added to the following web page, www.terpquest.umd.edu.
DO NOT REGISTER unless you know you will be attending, as the refund policy WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. That is, in years past we have been lenient enforcing the refund policy. Since we are using CampDOC, refunds will be issued in accordance with our policy, which can be found on our website.
For more camp information please visit: www.terpquest.umd.edu, or call us after Monday the 20th, at 301-226-5500.
THANKS

TerpQuest Summer Camp
Terp Quest is a traditional summer day camp focused on introducing your child to varied recreational and educational experiences in a fun and safe environment.
Join us in trying new things daily and exploring the University of Maryland campus all summer!
Hope everyone is safe after the storm. Due to the impact and damage caused by the recent storm the University of Maryland is closed today, and by extension so is TERP Quest.
The Camp will be CLOSED today, July, 13th. We will post updates about tomorrow as they become available.
Greetings! WOW, thank you everyone for your overwhelming interest in TQ22.
The camp sold out in the first week, with some weeks full within the first four-hours. In our nearly 20-year history that has never happened, usually about 2/3 of the camp is full by March 1st.
Although we do have a Waiting List, it is currently between 25-30 deep for each age group, each week of camp, therefore we have closed the waiting list.
Thank you for your continued support!!

Thank you for your continued interest in TERP Quest at the University of Maryland.
Here is where we stand.
Although we are planning as if TQ will happen, on a modified basis, the University has not made a decision regarding summer programming. A decision should be made no later than April 23, 2021. Please remember not only do we have to consider our own campus protocols, but we are also governed by the PG County Health Department.
If approved TQ will be modified. Campers will be required to have a temperature check and wear PPE’s. Children will be assigned into Pods of 10, and all extra programs such as the CIT program, before & after care and swim/tennis lesson will be cancelled for 2021.
If approved, we would start accepting registrations on or about May 1st.
Our website is up to date, www.terpquest.umd.edu
We will keep you posted.

As we reflect on the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Sean Reed, and countless others, we must acknowledge the unacceptable level of violence and injustice Black Americans face, as well as the overarching institutional racism and systemic oppression of minority groups that pervade our society. We cannot rely on words alone to show our support - RecWell is taking action to put into practice our core values of integrity, empowerment, and inclusion. These values remind us that we must speak up, take action, and continually strive to be an organization that supports all members of our community.
RecWell staff members have committed to donating personal funds towards the ACLU, Black Lives Matter, and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. We will also continue to engage in discussions to explore issues surrounding systemic and institutionalized racism. As a department, we have participated in on-going training for student and professional staff around topics of oppression, marginalization, and multicultural competency. This summer, staff will select one of three books to read and discuss with colleagues:
White Rage by Carol Anderson,
How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi,
So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo
These small steps are only the beginning of what is necessary to demonstrate our commitment to serve and support the students, faculty, and staff in our community. Our staff plans to incorporate additional training from our colleagues in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in the coming months.
Those looking for on campus resources to process, reflect, and take action are encouraged to join the Office of Diversity and Inclusion during Week, with events continuing today and tomorrow, and more events planned for the coming weeks. go.umd.edu/UMDsolidarity
