CrossFit SDA is a 7 year dream brought to life! At SDA, we have people from all walks of life coming

07/06/2026

There’s something powerful about being part of something bigger than yourself.

Motivation comes and goes. Discipline takes time to build. But community? Community keeps showing up.

The days you don’t feel like training, someone notices you’re missing.
The days you doubt yourself, someone reminds you what you’re capable of.
The days you think about quitting, your people help you keep going.

You don’t just join a gym.
You join a group of people who celebrate your wins, pick you up after your losses, and make hard things feel possible.

That’s why group class works.
That’s why SDA works.

Not because it’s easier, but because you don’t have to do it alone.

Come find your people.

You have a pelvis. You have a pelvic floor. This seminar is for you.

This isn’t just for pregnant women.
It isn’t just for moms.
It isn’t just for women.

If you’ve ever dealt with:
• Low back pain
• Hernias
• Leaking
• Pelvic pressure
• Core or bracing issues
• Discomfort while lifting
• Even gas during squats or deadlifts…

…your pelvic floor could be playing a role.

On July 11, Dr. Rachel Moore from Onward Physical Therapy is joining us for a practical, evidence-based seminar on how your pelvic floor impacts strength, performance, and everyday life.

We’ll cover:
• Pregnancy & postpartum myths
• Core canister and bracing mechanics
• How to move and lift with more confidence
• Why pelvic floor health matters for both men and women

Come for Community WOD, grab a kolache, hang out with the community, and stay for a seminar that might completely change the way you think about movement.

Osteoporosis doesn’t mean stop training.
It means training needs to be smarter.

Today our coaches learned how to better train clients with osteoporosis. Not with fear. Not with “just be careful.” Not with random modifications.

With assessment.
With guardrails.
With strength training.
With balance work.
With smarter progression.

Some factors that increase your risk of osteoporosis:

Aging.
Menopause and estrogen decline.
Low testosterone.
Family history.
Low body weight.
Poor nutrition.
Low calcium or vitamin D.
Long-term steroid use.
Certain cancer treatments.
Sedentary lifestyle.
Smoking.
Excessive alcohol.
Chronic under-fueling.

Ways we can help lower the risk:

Lift weights.
Build and maintain muscle.
Eat enough protein.
Fuel your body well.
Get enough calcium and vitamin D.
Train balance.
Reduce fall risk.
Stay active.
Protect your hormones.
Stop treating strength as optional.

Once you have osteoporosis, we don’t promise to undo it.

But we can promise to assess, guide, modify, progress, and help you safely build strength and resilience so your life as you know it doesn’t end at diagnosis.

You are not fragile.
You need the right plan.

And that’s exactly what we do at SDA.

Let’s hear it for Christi 👏🏼⬇️

“Hey - just wanted to take a moment to share some gratitude.

Gage has been a blessing through the 1 on 1 lessons the past year. He’s helped me achieve things I never would have imagined I was capable of and has helped me find a love for deadlifting and back squats.

Since I’ve started classes, I’ve had a chance to experience class with Corey, Jess, and Gage.

Corey has been SUPER patient with me as I’m learning upper body movements that require the ability to do different movements at the same time. I’ve appreciated Jess’ constant feedback on form and helping me find the right weight when I go too light with DBs. And I finally got to go to a class lead by Gage last night - as always, appreciated his attention to detail and explanation of movement. And his patience. He has the patience of a friggin saint.

There are times that I’m really frustrated and embarrassed about my lack of proprioception and coordination - in those moments of extreme vulnerability, I am so grateful for the patience and feedback the coaches give. (I was honestly so scared and intimidated to make the jump from 1 on 1s to class)

When I was in dance as a kid, I was the shortest and always put in the back row for recitals. During marching band, I was always yelled at by the band director who made it a point to publicly humiliate me for my lack of rhythm. These experiences have made me hyper aware that I don’t catch on to movement as fast as most people. I am working through learning to give myself grace and not feeling like a failure when I can’t get things on the 1st, 2nd... or 100th try.

All this to say that I am grateful beyond words for the safe place that everyone at SDA creates while I build up the confidence I never had and work through all the voices in my head that keep telling me I can’t do it. 🫶🏼💪🏼 🏃🏼‍♀️”

THE BOYS ARE BACK 🙌🏼

Coach Nathan Hale | Professional Coach and Coach Alex Blazo are taking on Xenom this weekend in the Elite division. They’re competing against some of the best in the world and we can’t wait to watch and cheer them on 💪🏼

Wish them good luck!

A huge THANK YOU to Coach Blazo and Coach Corey for spending their Saturday with our SDA community!

From T2B to movement efficiency and skill progressions, everyone walked away with valuable tools they can apply to their training right away. More importantly, they made complex concepts easy to understand and gave our athletes confidence to keep improving.

We’re incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and expertise they poured into our members. The feedback has been amazing, and it’s safe to say everyone learned a ton.

Thank you both for helping make our community stronger, more capable, and better educated athletes 👏

“Girls are taught to be perfect and boys are taught to be brave.”

Let’s change that.

At SDA, we want our girls to know they belong under the barbell, on the pull-up rig, leading the warm-up, trying the hard thing, and failing without shame.

We don’t care if they’re the strongest in the room.
We care that they’re willing to try.

Confidence isn’t built from being told you’re amazing. It’s built by proving to yourself, over and over again, that you can do things you once thought were impossible.

We want our daughters to know that strength is for them too.
That leadership is for them too.
That resilience is for them too.

So we’ll keep teaching them to pick up heavy things, trust their bodies, celebrate effort, and embrace the challenge.

The goal was never perfection.
The goal has always been courage.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads in our SDA community.

The ones showing up before sunrise.
The ones squeezing in workouts between work and family.
The ones teaching by example that discipline, consistency, and hard work matter.

Your kids may not remember every workout you did, but they’ll remember watching you prioritize your health, keep your promises to yourself, and never quit when things got hard.

Thank you for setting the standard.

We’re proud to have you in our community and grateful for the example you set every single day.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at SDA 💚
