College Station Marathon + Half Marathon

🎉Today we want to feature Legacy Runner and inaugural BCS Half Marathon champion, Gustavo Román Jr. 🎉

Gus has completed 13 marathons, including a PR of 2:36 at the 2026 Boston Marathon, and 42 half marathons with a PR of 1:12.

When asked what inspires him to run marathons, Gustavo said, "The marathon is the most honest distance in running. It lays bare everything you've done, and everything you haven't, both in training and in life. There's nowhere to hide, and I love that. Life is harder for so many people than any marathon, so it's my favorite distance to show who I am and what I'm about."

If you think 13.1 or 26.2 is a little too much, grab some friends and run the marathon team relay with us! 4 or 8 person relay teams make it a fun morning and you just run a 5k or a 10k! Take a look.

Team Relay - CS Marathon A relay team consisting of 4 or 8 members will complete the entire marathon course. Runners within a 4-member team will each run approximately 6.5 miles and runners of 8-member teams will run around 3.3 miles of the course. Each leg could vary slightly.
