If you are a business owner and you have not read *Traction*, you are missing one of the most practical books on how to actually run your business.

The first time I read it, I remember thinking, if I ever own a business, this is exactly how I am doing it.

No fluff. No theory. Just clear, tactical principles that actually work.

That is why I am hosting a workshop on July 7th at the Small Business Development Center.

We are going to break down the core EOS principles from the book and show you how to apply them in your business so you can finally get traction.

If you feel like:
• You are working hard but not gaining momentum
• Your team is not fully aligned
• You are not executing at the level you know you should be

This workshop is for you.

I will also be giving away copies of *Traction* for free to attendees.

Most business owners think they need a 150-page plan.

They do not!!

Your entire business can be simplified into a 2-page Vision Traction Organizer with just 8 questions.

The power is not in complexity. It is in CLARITY.

When your leadership team gets aligned on those 8 questions, everything starts to shift. Communication improves. Decisions get easier. The team starts rowing in the same direction.

I am hosting a live workshop with the Small Business Development Center on July 7th from 8:30–10:30am.

We will break down the 6 areas of a business, focus on Vision, and walk through how to simplify what you are building so your team can actually execute it.

I will also be giving away copies of Traction to attendees.

If you are a business owner in the Bryan College Station area and want more clarity and alignment in your business, this is for you.

You can reserve your FREE spot here: https://www.sbdc.uh.edu/assnfe/ev.asp?ID=15899

Most business owners overcomplicate their plan!

Hundreds of pages. Endless documents. Nobody reads them.

But your entire business can actually be simplified into a 2-page Vision Traction Organizer!

Just 8 questions. That is it!!

When your leadership team gets aligned on those 8 questions, something changes fast. Clarity goes up. Alignment follows. And everyone starts rowing in the same direction.

I will be teaching this live at a workshop through the Small Business Development Center on July 7th from 8:30–10:30am.

We will walk through the 6 areas of business, focus on Vision, and break down the 8 questions that simplify everything.

I will also be giving away copies of Traction for attendees.

If you are a business owner in the Bryan College Station area and you are ready to simplify your vision and get your team aligned, this is for you.

Have you ever noticed that most business owners are willing to hire experts for taxes, legal issues, marketing, and technology...
But when it comes to leadership and accountability, many try to figure it out alone?

It's understandable!

On the surface, self-implementation feels less expensive.
But one of the most important leadership lessons I've learned is this:
The cost of delay is often far greater than the cost of getting help.

A leadership team I recently spoke with invested in EOS implementation and generated approximately four times that investment in profit during the first year while growing by 30%.

The value wasn't the tools. The value was the clarity.

Clarity creates better decisions. Better decisions create traction.

And traction compounds over time.

The question isn't:
"Can we figure this out ourselves?"

The better question is:
"How quickly do we want traction?"

If you'd like to explore what greater clarity and traction could look like for your business, I'd love to invite you to a complimentary 90-Minute Meeting. Schedule here: [Calendly Link] https://calendly.com/charlie-rhea-eosworldwide/help-first-connect-time?month=2026-05

Have you ever noticed that when your energy is low, every leadership challenge feels bigger?

The same issue feels more overwhelming.

The same employee feels more frustrating.

The same decision takes longer.

The same to-do list feels impossible.

One thing I've observed over the years working with business owners is that many leaders think they have a productivity problem when they actually have an energy problem.

Before buying another planner, downloading another app, or trying another productivity system, ask yourself:

How well am I taking care of the person expected to lead this organization?

Am I sleeping?

Am I moving?

Am I getting outside?

Am I drinking enough water?

Am I creating space to recharge?

You don't always need a complete overhaul.

Sometimes you need a simple RESET.

Pick one thing this week that will improve your energy and commit to it.
Your leadership team will benefit from the leader you become because of it.

If you want to level up your leadership team, read *The Five Dysfunctions of a Team*.

A great team is not just SMART. It is healthy!!

Smart is strategy, technology, efficiency, and ex*****on.

Healthy is being open, honest, vulnerable, willing to be wrong, and committed to the greater good of the company.

The problem is that most companies spend a lot of time working on smart, but not nearly enough time working on healthy.

When your leadership team builds REAL trust, you can have healthy conflict. When you have healthy conflict, you can make better decisions. When you make better decisions, you can commit, hold each other accountable, and get better results!

That is how you build a cohesive, functional leadership team!!

My challenge to you is simple:

Pick up *The Five Dysfunctions of a Team* and read it with your leadership team over the next 90 days.
Order it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0787960756?ref_=cm_sw_r_ffobk_cp_ud_dp_BEXZAAZER9F7NHM4MZ0A&bestFormat=true

If you need help walking through it, reach out. I would love to help!

Marriage is one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me!

A healthy, thriving marriage is a blessing, but it does not happen by accident. It takes work, intentionality, and the right priorities.

First, God has to come first. He is not just one priority. He is the priority in everything!!

Second, you have to prioritize and protect your marriage! That means being intentional, blocking the time, and getting creative when you need to.

Third, be intentional with your conversations.

Sarah and I have three kids, and we brought a babysitter on vacation with us. Let me tell you, that is a pro tip. It has been wonderful.

Having a babysitter with us has allowed us to have intentional one-on-one time with each of our kids, while also making space for Sara and me to have a real date night.

On our date, we asked each other a simple question:

What are you enjoying most about this vacation, and what are you still looking forward to?

My challenge to you is this:

How can you better prioritize and protect your time with God, your time with your spouse, and the intentional conversations that strengthen your marriage?

Your people want to know one simple thing: How am I doing?

One of the best ways to build and maintain a healthy culture is to regularly sit down with your team and review how they are living out your CORE VALUES.

Ask them to evaluate themselves first.

Then give clear, honest feedback.

And do not forget recognition!! People want to know when they are doing well!

Praise publicly. Give hard feedback privately.

That is how you build trust, reinforce your core values, and make sure you have the right people in the right seats.

One of the most important things a leader can do is take time to reflect.

Great leaders are self-aware!!

If you want to level up as a leader, start building the habit of daily reflection. Good leaders learn from experience, but great leaders learn from evaluated experience.

Wise leaders take it one step FURTHER. They learn from their own evaluated experience and from the experiences of others.

If you want help building that habit, check out the Simple Daily Growth Journal from my friend Ike Ubasineke with Grow or Die: https://growordie.club/

What drives you? One thing that drives me is PASSION.

Passion is contagious! People who are passionate about their faith, family, work, health, learning, leadership, or community are the kind of people you want to be around.

For me, my faith fires me up!! My family drives me! Leadership development energizes me! Being active and getting outside helps me reset!!

When I start feeling demotivated or burned out, I come back to the things I am passionate about.

Life is too short to just go through the motions!

If you know what you are passionate about, pursue it. Make time for it. Weave it into your life every day.

What are you passionate about, and how can you weave more of it into your life this week? Share in the comments. I'd love to cheer you on!
