Congratulations to Charlie Herring (L) and Chris Flood (R) for winning medals in the 1/22/22 Winter Open at MUS! Charlie Herring took 2nd while Chris Flood tied for 3rd in Epee! Way to go!!!

Paul Folkerts, about to dust them down in LA, at the 2021 Nat Junior Olympic fencing qualifiers for the Ark-La-Miss division!

Congratulations to Collierville Arts Academy/Memphis Fencer Paul Folkerts! He sojourned down to Shreveport LA over the weekend to compete in the 2022 Fencing Junior Olympic Qualifiers for his division (Ark-LA-Miss) in Foil AND Epee!

We are proud to share that Paul took THIRD PLACE in Junior Epee (qualifying him to go to the JOs) AND captured FIRST PLACE in Junior Foil (ALSO qualifying him to go compete at the JOs)!!

The 2022 Junior Olympic Championships in Fencing will be held Feb 18-21 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Way to go, Paul!!!

Alright, alright! The first local tournament we’ve had in AGES and two of our fencers take SECOND PLACE! One (Devery) was in his first competition! Ben is a seasoned fencer but hasn’t been able to train like normal due to many many external factors. But they both hunkered down and did what Memphis Fencers do really well - WIN! Congratulations guys! More to come!!

Congrats to Paul Folkerts (C20) of the Memphis Fencers who has been fencing at the 2020 US Fencing Nat Junior Olympics! He fenced in the Cadet Men's Epee on Friday and the Junior Men's Epee event today! In Juniors, he came 3-3 out of the pools and fenced his first DE in the table of 256, losing 15-6 to the 53rd seed (out of 394)! Some REAL tough competition at these events: WAY TO GO PAUL!!
