Goodness it was a warm one yesterday🥵. We were up bright and early so we could knock
out chores and beat the heat. Our darling daughter caught this video of one of the 2 year old fillies we’re currently training for a client galloping in company at the farm early yesterday morning. The client’s filly is on the outside.

I debated posting this video. You see it’s not pretty and our c**t isn’t behaving perfectly…..but this right here is horse training. When teaching new tasks to our horses, it often starts out “not pretty or perfect”. And that’s ok. If we keep working at teaching our horse the chore at hand, after some time and practice our horse begins to understand what the task at hand is and how we want them to do the job. Don’t have too high of standards starting out. It will just get you AND your horse frustrated and upset. You see that c**t that Griff is riding is our 2 year old stud c**t. He’s been saddled maybe 6 times prior to this. He’s been rode just twice in the round pen. Top that off with the fact that he hasn’t been worked with in a probably over a week, just led in and out to the pasture every day. With all the odds that are stacked against him, I’m pretty proud of how well he handles Griff jumping on him bare back with a halter and lead AND ponies two other horses back in as well. He’ll get better yet with more miles and more practice
