I vividly remember being at college in New Hampshire and getting ready for class. The Today show was on like it was every morning. Our dorm room was open as friends walked through the halls. Then everything changed when alarm and panic came across the screen. It was truly hard to comprehend what was happening and the gravity of the situation. I just remember thinking, is the real?!
It was hard to focus. Everyone wanted to figure out what was going on during class. We were glued to the television. (This was pre-smartphones 🫣)
Even 25 years later it’s still hard to believe the tragedy that unfolded that day. I’ve been watching a lot of raw footage from that day and it has brought me to tears several times.
I wasn’t personally affected that day but we were ALL affected by that experience in some way.
