For a long time, I believed success meant constantly working.

If I had free time during the day, I felt guilty.
Like I should be doing more.

Working more.
Grinding harder.

Today looked different.

I coached clients early this morning… and now I’m sitting outside with a coffee by a waterfall enjoying the fresh spring air. ☕️🌿

Owning Empower Personal Training has taught me that success isn’t just about staying busy every second of the day.

It’s about building a life that feels healthy, sustainable, and aligned with what matters most.

I teach my clients the same thing in fitness:
You do not have to destroy yourself to make progress.
Strength is built through consistency.

Recovery matters.
Rest matters.
Enjoying your life matters.

And honestly… this peaceful spring morning feels like success too. 💪

There was a time when I thought success meant working 8–10 hours a day nonstop. If I wasn’t constantly busy, I felt like I wasn’t doing enough.

Owning Empower Personal Training has taught me something different.

This morning I coached clients early, and now I’m sitting outside with a coffee by a waterfall enjoying a quiet spring morning. And for the first time in a long time, I don’t feel guilty about it.

Building a business isn’t just about grinding every second of the day. It’s about creating a life that allows flexibility, health, freedom, and presence.

The same thing applies to fitness.
Progress doesn’t come from running yourself into the ground. It comes from consistency, intention, recovery, and learning how to work with your body instead of against it.

Strength isn’t only built in the gym.Sometimes it’s built in learning to slow down and enjoy what you’ve worked hard for.
☕️🌿💪

𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝟐,𝟕𝟔𝟖 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬.

She started with 200.

Yesterday, we took the first step toward a big goal—the Incline. Not the full thing (yet), but a starting point in Castle Rock. 200 stairs. We climbed it once… and then again. That second climb? 7 minutes of grit, effort, and proof that she’s more capable than she thinks.

This is what goal-setting looks like.

It’s not about going from zero to the top overnight. It’s about showing up, stacking small wins, and building the kind of strength—physically and mentally—that carries you forward when things get hard.

Because they will get hard.

But here’s what matters most: you don’t have to do it alone.

When my clients set a goal, it becomes our goal. I’m in it with you—every step, every rep, every moment you want to quit but don’t. I’ll meet you where you are, and I’ll push you to where you didn’t think you could go.

The Incline is coming.

And we’ll be ready. 💪

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭… 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝.

If you’ve been reaching for the same 5s and 10s every workout, here’s your gentle (but honest) nudge:Your body has already adapted.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 “𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧” 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥? 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫.

Strength comes from challenge. From resistance that asks a little more of you. From picking up the weight that makes you pause and think, “Okay… this is different.”

Because here’s the truth most women aren’t told enough:
You are capable of lifting more.

Lifting heavier doesn’t make you bulky.
It builds muscle, improves bone density, supports metabolism, and creates the kind of strength that carries into real life—picking up kids, moving furniture, feeling confident in your body.

At Empower Personal Training, we don’t chase exhaustion. We build strength with purpose.

So next time you’re staring at the dumbbell rack…Skip the automatic choice.
Try the next set up.
You might surprise yourself.

Whether it’s a coach, a group, or a little furry accountability—having support makes showing up easier.

You don’t have to do this alone.

You don’t need a gym to get stronger—you just need to start.

Right now:
10 squats
10 lunges
Incline push-ups on your kitchen counter
Hold a plank

That’s it. Start where you are. Today counts.

Another trip around the sun… and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than doing what I love most—training alongside an incredible group of women 💪✨

This year, my birthday wasn’t about slowing down…it was about showing up. For myself, for my clients, and for the community we’re building together. A space where strength is celebrated, where you’re supported, and where you never feel like you have to do this alone.

One of my favorite moments from the day? My 11-year-old stepdaughter asked to join the session—and she jumped right in like she belonged there (because she does). Watching her feel strong, capable, and confident was everything. These are the moments that matter.

At Empower Personal Training, we celebrate it all—birthdays, first push-ups, showing up on the hard days, and every win in between. Because it’s not just about fitness…it’s about connection, confidence, and growing stronger together.

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t belong in a gym…this is your reminder that you do. And you don’t have to do it alone ❤️
