Hi everyone — I’m Tom Welch, and this is Bailey-Boo, my service pup, constant companion, and proud “Putter Pocket Pal.” She’s almost always with me, and if you see her around the shop, she loves giving disc golfers her special good-luck blessings — usually in the form of kisses.

I’m excited to share that I’ve stepped in as the new manager of KWIK Discs. This shop has been a huge part of the Colorado Springs disc golf community for years, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help take it to the next level.

Over the next few weeks and months, you’re going to see KWIK Discs grow into a true community hub.
Here’s what’s coming:

🛒 Store Revamp

We’re giving the shop a clean, updated, more organized layout so it’s easier to find what you need — and more enjoyable to hang out while you’re here.

🥏 Player Hangout Area

We’re adding a new dedicated spot in the store where players can sit, relax, talk discs, or just take a breather before or after rounds. Think of it like a mini clubhouse for our local disc golf community.

🌲 Cottonwood History Wall

KWIK Discs has deep roots with Cottonwood Creek, from sponsorships to helping bring the baskets to life.
We’re putting together a full history wall on the back of the shop to honor the course, the community, and the people who built it.

📅 League Information Board (Full Weekly Schedule)

We’re creating a big, clear league board with a block for every day of the week — Sunday through Saturday.
Each league in the Springs will have its:

- meeting times
- formats
- locations
- and contact/referral info

When new players walk in, they’ll be able to look at the board and immediately find a league that fits their schedule and style.

KWIK Discs will become the central hub where every league can be discovered.

🤝 New League Sponsorship Program

I’m building out a structured sponsorship program to support local leagues, help them grow, and give them tools, resources, and incentives that elevate the entire scene.

Every league sponsored by KWIK Discs will be supported, represented, and connected.

This week’s spotlight shines on J719 Disc Golf, led by Josh Rosa — a name that’s become synonymous with fun, fairness, and affordability in the Colorado Springs disc golf scene.

Josh launched J719 with one clear mission: to make disc golf events affordable, welcoming, and all about the love of the game. His focus is on the AM community — keeping things fun, less intense, and cost-effective in a world where tournament fees keep climbing.

💬 “I want to be the guy who offers up a wallet-friendly alternative,” Josh says. “This isn’t about making money. I just want players to enjoy the game.”

Since 2021, J719 has hosted creative, value-driven events that keep players coming back for more. From Disc Revolution to the Clash Series and beyond, every event is designed to make competition accessible and fun — for every level of player.
