CSKK SUMMER SCHEDULE!

For the months of June and July we will be switching up our schedule due to the summer break at our practice location. Scheduled practices are listed below:

June:

Our three classes for June will be on Tuesday the 9th, 16th, and 23rd at the same time/location as normal (6-8PM).

July:

Our three classes for July will be on Tuesday the 7th, 14th, and 21st also at the normal time/location (6-8PM).

Additionally, we will be conducting Kata in the park on Saturday June 13th starting at 8:30AM through 10:30AM and continue every other week through July at the same time! (Jun 27th , July 11th , July 25th). Location for kata will be Boulder Park, 1210 E Boulder St, Colorado Springs, CO 80950

This weekend Colorado Springs Kendo Kai competed In the second-ever invitational Rensei Taikai in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A huge thanks to both Chen-sensei and Davis-sensei for joining our 5-person team!

Matt and Charles also participated in the Spring Shinsa on Sunday earning the ranks of ikkyu and yonkyu (respectively). Congratulations!

2025 Japan-America Society of Southern Colorado (JASSC) Bazaar and Demonstrations

Saturday October 25th from 10 am to 3 pm.

Pikes Peak United Way Family Success Center 1520 Verde Drive in Colorado Springs

This annual event is intended to raise cultural awareness and provide opportunities for local vendors selling authentic Japanese goods. CSKK will also be performing a demonstration.

CSKK is now holding class at a new location!

We will be holding class Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 pm.

CSKK had our last practice at Meadows Park Community Center on September 30, 2025. We thank the Center and it's wonderful staff, especially those on the "late shift" during our practice.

CSKK has been at the Center for many (20?) years. It is time to move on. Change can be good - we are working to ensure the dojo stays together and stays strong.

So, we come to the end and say goodbye to an old friend. We thank you and will remember you.
