Coronado Cougars Women's Basketball Feeder Program kicks off this October! Be a part of the inaugural season! Teams will be divided based on grade and skill level: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Tryouts will be held at October 19 & 20 from 12:00 - 5:00 pm at the Coronado High School Main Gym.

We are seeking qualified coaches to join our Feeder Program Staff.

Coronado Cougars Women's Basketball will be expanding this fall with our new Coronado Feeder Program for the Colorado Springs West Metro Area. The Feeder Program will hold tryouts in October for the following levels:

- 4th grade
- 5th grade
- 6th grade
- 7th grade
- 8th grade

It's great to be a Cougar! And, it's even more exciting right now to be a member of our extended feeder family!

Come and join us at our first Open Gym, which starts up the 2024-25 Coronado Cougars Women's Basketball aeason, beginning on Monday, April 22nd, from 7:00-9:00 pm.

Coronado Cougars Women's Basketball is hosting the Spring Girls Basketball Camp for Grade 5th through 8th grade on Saturday, May 11th. Check in is at 9:30 am at the Coronado High School Main Gym.

This is a chance to meet the Coronado High School Basketball Coaching Staff and work with student-athletes from our 2023-24 Second Place CSMSC Cougars!

SESSION 1: BALL-HANDLING CAMP 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Bring your basketball, t-shirt, shorts, basketball shoes, and energy. Prepare to improve your dribbling, passing, pivoting, and screening skills. During this camp, you practice high intensity dribbling, two-basketball dribbling, piston dribbling, speed dribbling, behind the back dribbling, and more. Additionally, you will learn how to complete a flip pass, step-across bounce pass, pass off the dribble, pass behind the back, and pass out of a double-team. You will also learn how to complete a rip pivot, a screen and seal, and a ball screen and roll.

LUNCH BREAK 12:00 – 12:30
Lunch will not be provided. Please, plan on bringing your own lunch.

SESSION 2: SHOOTING CAMP 12:30 – 2:30
During the shooting camp, you will learn proper set shooting form, catch-and-shoot footwork, and the jump shot dance. You will also learn how to receive a pass and shoot while cutting over flex and shuffle screens, perform a flare cut, use a ball fake and a shot fake before driving to the basket, complete a floater and a Euro step at the basket. In addition, you will learn the drop step, drop hook, up-and-under post moves. Other shooting skills include free throws, full-speed lay-ups, crow hops, and three-jump jump shots.

Total cost is $40 BOTH SESSIONS / $25 ONE SESSION. Payment may be made during Check-In from 9:30 – 10:00 am. Checks may be made payable to Coronado High School with reference to 2024 Spring Girls Basketball Camp. Email me at [email protected] or [email protected] to reserve your spot.

We are currently seeking parents and coaches who wish to coach our incoming girls basketball youth.

Are you interested in coaching a 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade girls basketball team that will feed into Coronado High School? If so, please reply with your name and school.

Congrats to our wonderful seniors as Coronado Cougars Women's Basketball finished the 2023-4 season with a road win over Palmer, 57-46.

YOUR Cougars finish the season with a 10-13 record overall, 6-4 in CSMSC for second place!
