Yesterday we shared some friendly e-bike trails throughout the city but did you know Class 1 and 2 are allowed at most of our state parks!🌲Cheyenne Mountain State Park, 🌲Lake Pueblo State Park, and 🌲Mueller State Park all have great trails to ride and allow Class 2 bikes on them. We often get asked where can I ride my e-bike? So we created a list of E-Bike friendly trails! (*Class 1 only. Always verify local jurisdictions when unsure.)
What's your favorite trail to ride?
Pikes Peak Greenway Trail: 15-16 miles one way. A major paved north-south artery through the city. It extends from Woodmen Road in the north to the El Pomar Youth Sports Complex in the south, running alongside Monument and Fountain creeks.
Fountain Creek Regional Trail: Starting at the El Pomar Youth Sports Complex in Colorado Springs, the trail continues south along Fountain Creek, through the Fountain Creek Nature Center and into Fountain Creek Regional Park.
Cottonwood Creek Trail: Just over 6 miles long or up to 13.5 miles long when including all connections, running from near Powers Blvd to the Pikes Peak Greenway. A popular, paved suburban route.
Santa Fe Trail: 14-17 miles in El Paso County (Over 1,200 miles Missouri to New Mexico). A scenic, mostly paved trail running north-south.
Rock Island Trail: Approximately 6 miles long, running east-west along an old railroad bed parallel to Constitution Avenue between Weber Street and Powers Boulevard. Paved trail stretching from downtown to the east.
Midland Trail: 5-mile to 8-mile, one-way urban trail connecting
Manitou Springs to the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail near America the Beautiful Park. Connects downtown to the western side of the city.
Shooks Run Trail: Approximately 3.9 to 4 miles long (one way), running north-south from Lilac Street to Fountain Boulevard. A North-south trail running through the heart of the city.
Sand Creek Trail: Sand Creek Trail is an evolving multi segment trail system in Colorado Springs that follows Sand Creek through residential areas, parks, and open spaces
Legacy Loop: Approximately 10-mile paved urban trail system that encircles the downtown area. It connects the Pikes Peak Greenway, Shooks Run Trail, and the Rock Island Trail. A 10-mile trail system encircling downtown
Garden of the Gods: A 7-mile, one-way road network with bicycle lanes winds through the main rock formations, featuring multiple parking lots and pull-offs for viewing. *E-Biikes are not allowed on trails.
