๐ฆถ๐ฝ๐ WHAT IS THAT IONIC FOOT-BATH MACHINE AT PINPOINT?
We've given away ionic foot-bath coupons at events and fashion shows, and some people are probably still wondering:
"What in the world does that thing do?" ๐
An ionic foot bath uses water and a low electrical current through an array. During a session, the water may become brown, orange or dark, and particles or foam may appear.
You may have seen online charts claiming each color identifies a particular toxin, organ or substance leaving your body.
Here's where I want to be careful about what we tell our patients.
Research has not established that these colors identify specific toxins leaving the body. The electrical process, minerals in the water and metal array can contribute to the discoloration.
What I CAN tell you is that some of our patients enjoy the experience, find it relaxing and report feeling better afterward.
And remember:
WE DON'T JUST CRACK BACKS AT PINPOINT! ๐
We offer chiropractic care, soft-tissue work, movement and exercise, nutrition education and additional wellness modalities.
Curious about the ionic foot bath? Come talk to us at Pinpoint Chiropractic & Wellness.
๐ฆถ๐ฝ Have you tried one before?

๐ฆถ๐ฝ "MY JOINTS DON'T ACHE LIKE THEY USED TO."
I want to share a patient's experience at Pinpoint Chiropractic & Wellness.
He came to us with significant joint pain and had previously been diagnosed with gout. His knees and big toes were hurting, and he was ready to make some changes.
He also enjoyed a b**r or two on weekends or after a hard day's work. ๐บ That's important because alcohol, including b**r, can contribute to gout attacks in some people.
We looked at the whole picture.
He began exercising, changed how he was eating and incorporated our ionic foot-bath sessions into his wellness routine.
One thing he noticed almost immediately was:
"My joints don't feel as achy afterward."
He continued for approximately 6โ8 weeks while making his other lifestyle changes. He reported less joint pain and felt that his gout was better controlled.
Can I say the ionic foot bath treated his gout? No.
Because he made several changes at once, we can't know what caused the improvement.
But I CAN tell you his experience: he felt better and less achy.
At Pinpoint, we're interested in the whole personโnot just one symptom or one treatment.
๐ฌ Curious about our wellness services? Contact Pinpoint Chiropractic & Wellness to learn more.
Individual experiences vary. Ionic foot baths are not an established treatment for gout.

๐ LADIES, CAN WE STOP MAKING "YOU'RE GETTING OLDER" THE END OF THE CONVERSATION?
Perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause can affect much more than our periods.
We're talking about:
๐ฆด Bone health ๐ช๐ฝ Muscle and strength ๐ด Sleep โค๏ธ Cardiovascular health ๐ฅ Hot flashes โ๏ธ Body composition ๐ง Mood and cognition ๐ Sexual health
And yesโhormone therapy is part of that conversation too.
HRT isn't automatically good or bad. For many healthy symptomatic women, it can be an effective treatment, but medical history matters.
A history of blood clots, stroke, heart attack, certain cancers or liver disease can significantly change the conversation about systemic hormone therapy.
That's why I believe women need healthcare providers they can actually TALK to.
Ask questions.
Look at your labs in context.
Learn about your body.
Understand your options.
And don't be afraid to say:
"Okay, I understand I'm getting older. Now tell me what I can DO."
At Pinpoint Chiropractic & Wellness, we want to have those conversations.
๐ธ Going through perimenopause, menopause or postmenopause and have questions? Let's talk.
08/31/2026
๐ธ MENOPAUSE: NOBODY REALLY PREPARES US FOR THIS PART!
I will say thisโit's nice to have a circle of healthcare providers you can talk to, especially when they're around the same age and experiencing some of the same changes. ๐
I'm postmenopausal now, and naturally, I looked at my labs. My estrogen is low, which isn't surprising after menopause.
But my question wasn't simply:
"Is my estrogen low?"
My question was:
"What does that mean for my body NOW?"
Weight and body composition are big conversations for women during menopause. Research shows that the menopause transition can be associated with more abdominal and visceral fat and less lean muscle.
So ladies, when you say, "My body doesn't respond the way it used to," there really are physiological changes happening.
But I'm not accepting, "You're just getting older," as the entire conversation.
I want to understand this version of my body.
What does it need?
What should I change?
What should I monitor?
And what can I do to remain healthy, strong and active?
๐ธ That's the menopause conversation I want us to start having.

๐ฅ๐ง LET'S TALK ABOUT NUTRITION AFTER SURGERY.
When we talk about recovery at Pinpoint Chiropractic & Wellness, we're not only thinking about joints and muscles.
Your body also needs adequate fluids, calories, protein and nutrients while tissues are healing.
That's why nutrition and hydration can become part of our conversation with patients preparing for or recovering from surgery.
We may provide nutritional recovery packs, juices and other supportive options designed to help patients focus on hydration and adequate nutrition during recovery.
But there's something important we want patients to understand:
These aren't treatments for anesthesia, and they don't replace your surgeon's postoperative instructions.
They're supportive nutrition.
We want patients thinking about the WHOLE recovery picture:
๐ฅ Am I eating enough?
๐ง Am I staying appropriately hydrated?
๐ช๐ฝ Am I getting enough protein and nutrients to support normal tissue repair?
๐ถ๐ฝ Am I following my movement restrictions?
๐ Do I understand my medications and discharge instructions?
Recovery involves more than one thing.
Your body is doing a tremendous amount of work after surgery. Let's support it appropriately.
08/26/2026
โค๏ธโ๐ฉน SURGERY IS OVER. NOW WHAT?
You had the procedure.
You've been discharged.
You've got your instructions.
But now you're home thinking:
"Okayโฆwhat am I actually supposed to do?"
This is another area where Pinpoint Chiropractic & Wellness can help.
Once your surgeon has cleared you for appropriate activity and care, we can become another part of your recovery team.
Depending on your procedure and individual needs, that may include:
๐ช๐ฝ Therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises ๐ถ๐ฝ Mobility and movement work ๐๐ฝ Appropriate soft-tissue work ๐ฅ Nutritional support ๐ง Hydration strategies ๐ Patient education and advocacy
And sometimes you simply need someone to help you figure out what questions you should take back to your surgeon or medical team.
Recovery isn't necessarily finished because you've been discharged from the hospital.
We're interested in helping you get back to living.
Always follow your surgeon's restrictions and postoperative instructions.

๐ฟ I'M BECOMING MY OWN LITTLE MENOPAUSE EXPERIMENT OF ONE. ๐
I've been studying herbs and nutrients used during menopause, including hops, d**g quai, boron and zinc.
And researching them has reminded me of something important:
Traditional use and scientific evidence aren't always the same thing.
Hops contain 8-prenylnaringenin, a compound with phytoestrogenic activity, and small clinical studies have investigated standardized hops extracts for menopausal symptoms.
Boron is another interesting one. A very small study in postmenopausal women found that supplemental boron affected mineral metabolism and measured estrogen and testosterone levels.
But here's the important part:
Interesting research doesn't automatically equal proven treatment.
D**g quai is a perfect example. It's traditionally associated with women's health, but one randomized controlled trial found that d**g quai alone wasn't significantly better than placebo for the menopausal symptoms studied.
So I'm learning, experimenting carefully and talking with my healthcare providers.
And I'm going to keep sharing what I learn.
๐ฟ Because women's health deserves more than, "Take this because somebody on social media said it works."
