Colorado Springs' Full Service Family Bike Shop The shop was started by Ted and Ruth Wilber of Colorado Springs. Customers are like family.

Ted’s Bicycles is the oldest independently owned bike shop in Colorado Springs, opening for business in September of 1971. In 1976, at age 18, Tony Hoewisch moved from Wisconsin and joined the team at Ted’s. In 1986, Tony and his wife Joetta, bought Ted’s Bicycles. Tony often gets called Ted, which he doesn’t mind at all. Ted’s Bicycles still operates with the same family-friendly atmosphere and philosophy of dependable service forged by Ted and Ruth in 1971.

Back in the spring we built this Glory DH bike for a customer down in New Mexico. We used carbon hoops laced to hubs with bars, stem and pedals along with drivetrain, and tires.
