24 Hours of Colorado Springs

24-Hours of Colorado Springs has been a super awesome race to have locally and we really loved sharing our great riding with the visiting racers. The future of the race is uncertain, consider it on sebbatical, but should the stars align just right, then the "ultra-endurance race gone urban" will return!

Back to work, sleepy, yet proud to have been part of something special. This morning I walked back into the halls of Palmer High School to teach some physics and chemistry. Walking beside me was Hillary Hienton who raced with weekend with husband/teacher Jeff and friends all decked out in fun animal outfits. From different points of view, we both noted how much fun the weekend had been.

We will get details out about results, where you can get that cool mysterious jersey, and more.

Last email sent to riders and volunteers just a few minutes ago. See you Friday afternoon after 2pm or Saturday. The race staff and a super cool Palmer Park course welcome you to rip, shred, and dominate!

All racers, volunteers, and staff can expect an informational email blast during the day tomorrow, Thursday 9/27. Content will include notes on packet pick-up and general guidelines/expectations. Primary expectation=Have a great time!
I got an email today from one of our radio operators who met a team from ??Ohio?? maybe, they were in shock at the intensity of the course and beauty of the park...right in the middle of town. Yup, that's pretty much what we think too.

Sneakin' out of work! To go do some trail work! Thank these brave USAC staffers who skipped a day at the office to help the Parks Department reroute a section of trail. New single track ready to go!!

THANKS to all those who have worked hard all summer on the park, either connected to the race or in general. Palmer Park is grateful!!!

Only a few hours of REGISTRATION left!!

Online registration for the USA Cycling 24-Hr Mountain Bike National Championships is open for a few more hours.

On Saturday, from 9a-10a, there will be onsite registration for USAC Nationals only!! Make it easy on all of us and get signed up quickly.

Non-championship Registration (online) also open for a few more hours, non-championship categories may only be registered for online and must be completed tonight. Get in on the fun before midnight. (Or you'll be a pumpkin)

Camping Area opens at 2pm on Friday, 9/28. Donations for Care & Share will be collected on sight and will go toward fighting hunger right here in the Front Range.

Come give your best, compete in 24Hr Nationals, and make a difference!!
