Pine Creek Boys Are Ready to Fly in the CSML Finals

Tonight, the 2026 CSML (North & South) Championships finals session is here—and Pine Creek (PINE) is walking onto the pool deck with speed, depth, and momentum. From the opening relay to the closing events, the Eagles have swimmers in the middle of the action, and the message is simple: race fearless, race together, and finish strong.

The Relays Set the Tone

Event 1: Boys 200 Medley Relay (Finals)
Pine Creek is right in the mix early, seeded at 1:46.01. The medley relay is all about sharp exchanges and clean execution—if the Eagles bring their best starts and turns, they can make a big statement in the first event of the night.

Event 9: Boys 200 Freestyle Relay (Finals)
The Eagles are seeded at 1:37.04. This is a pure sprint relay where energy and confidence matter. If Pine Creek attacks the first 25 and stays composed coming home, they can climb the places fast.

Pine Creek’s Individual Finals Firepower

Event 2: Boys 200 Freestyle (A Final)
Pine Creek has two swimmers in the A final:
Greg Herndl (FR) — 1:51.41
Conner Grzywacz (JR) — 1:52.87

Two Eagles in the championship heat means points, pressure, and opportunity. If they stay aggressive through the middle 100, they can close hard and make noise in the last 50.

Event 3: Boys 200 IM (A Final)
Pine Creek owns the center lanes with a stacked group:
Brody Donald (SO) — 2:07.51
Zac Lai (FR) — 2:08.80
Brendan Park (FR) — 2:11.75
Kevin Boska (JR) — 2:19.65

This is one of the biggest Pine Creek events of the night. The IM rewards toughness—fast transitions, no free speed given away on walls, and a breaststroke leg that refuses to fade.

Event 4: Boys 50 Freestyle (A Final)
Pine Creek has four swimmers entered across the finals, including a huge presence in the A final:
Sam Castillo (JR) — 21.92
Nick Carlstrom (SR) — 23.16
Matt Murray (SR) — 24.26
Brendan Cooley (JR) — 23.81

The 50 free is one breath, one chance. If Pine Creek nails the start and keeps the kick driving, this is a prime event to score big.

Event 6: Boys 100 Butterfly (A Final + B Final)
Pine Creek is loaded here:
Matt Murray (SR) — 1:02.27 (A Final)
Owen Jones (SR) — 1:06.89 (A Final)
Trijal Pachauri (SO) — 1:11.63 (A Final)
William Wiehe (SR) — 1:15.49 (B Final)

This is a momentum event. If the Eagles attack the first 50 under control and hold form on the back half, they’ll be right there when the race gets painful.

Event 7: Boys 100 Freestyle (A Final)
Pine Creek’s sprint strength shows again:
Sam Castillo (JR) — 49.09
Cole Pederson (SO) — 52.03
Brendan Cooley (JR) — 54.83
The 100 free is where champions stay brave late. Pine Creek has the speed—now it’s about finishing the last 15 yards like it’s the only thing that matters.

Event 8: Boys 500 Freestyle (A Final)
Pine Creek brings two swimmers into the A final:
Greg Herndl (FR) — 5:04.81
Kevin Boska (JR) - 5:42.12
Alex Haslam (JR) — 6:20.10
The 500 is a different kind of test: patience early, toughness late. If the Eagles build the race and keep the turns tight, they can drop time and add valuable points.

Event 10: Boys 100 Backstroke (A Final)
Pine Creek has four swimmers in the A final:
Ian Larson (JR) — 1:03.91
Conner Grzywacz (JR) — 58.77
Nick Carlstrom (SR) — 57.79
Cole Pederson (SO) — 58.80
This is a major scoring chance. With multiple Eagles in the same final, every place gained matters—and every finish can swing the team standings.

Event 11: Boys 100 Breaststroke (A Final)
Pine Creek is deep again:
Aiden Tee (SR) — 1:07.39
Zac Lai (FR) — 1:05.20
Brody Donald (SO) — 1:04.10
Brendan Park (FR) — 1:05.66
Breaststroke is about rhythm and confidence. If Pine Creek stays long off the walls and keeps the tempo rising each 25, they can turn this into a points avalanche.

The Finals Mindset: One Team, One Deck
Finals are where preparation meets belief. Pine Creek has swimmers across sprints, IM, distance, and relays—which means the Eagles can build momentum all night long. Every dive, every wall, every finish matters. Bring the energy. Bring the pride. And race like Eagles.

Let’s go PINE.
