Yesterday officially marked one year of Panda On The Lanes… and, fittingly, I took the day off from posting. 😂

Looking back at where this started is wild. The original art had an almost Peanuts-style simplicity, and over the last year the Panda-verse has gone through quite a few looks before landing on the more detailed cartoon style you see today. There were definitely some awkward in-between stages too but I’m really happy with where the art has landed and how much more personality these characters have now.

What’s even crazier is how much the page itself has changed.

I started Panda On The Lanes with zero expectations. It was just something fun—a way to document my bowling journey, make goofy artwork, and celebrate products and companies I genuinely enjoyed.

A year later, that little idea has helped lead to staff opportunities, creating content for companies, meeting a ton of great people in bowling, and even inspiring others to try their own version of something fun and different.

That last part might mean the most.

Bowling is full of different personalities, styles, stories, and reasons why we love the game. Panda On The Lanes has simply become my way of connecting with people and adding my own little corner of weirdness to the bowling world.

There’s still so much I’d love to do with this little universe—more characters, more stories, more ideas than I realistically have time to explore.

The content will keep evolving. The Panda-verse will keep growing. And hopefully I’ll keep finding new ways to make people laugh, talk bowling, and encourage someone else to run with that weird idea they’ve been sitting on and dare to .

Dustyn has officially decided to try something different and taken the Swag Bowling plunge!

After talking with him, the Black Dragon Hybrid is making its way down to Trinidad, Colorado to see what kind of damage it can do on those classic wood lanes at Trinidad Lanes LLC. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how that ball shapes up down there.

And because I can’t have a fellow Coloradan joining the SWAG family without welcoming him properly, Dustyn had to get added to the Panda-Verse.

He fully embraces the fact that everyone says he looks like Sid from Ice Age, so there was really only one direction this character could go. 😂

CANCER SUCKS! NO SURRENDER.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this jersey carries more meaning when I put it on.

This month I’ll also be participating in Strike Out Breast Cancer at Main Event in Colorado Springs — coming together with other bowlers to help raise money for charity and research, support an important cause, and of course have a great time on the lanes with some like-minded people.

The Panda-verse is getting a little crowded… and I’m absolutely here for it. 😂

Six different bowlers. Six different characters. Six different pieces from the Swag Bowling lineup — each paired with a ball that fits their own game and personality.
