In this picture shows the moment I shift my mentality to just finishing the race (around 23 miles). No excitement anymore, no surges anymore. One goal left: make it to the finish line as strong as you can.
What helped me the most was taking it mile by mile—focusing on the person in front of me and trying to catch him, or at least get a little closer each mile. I was really trying to convince my mind that another wave of energy was going to come later. Maybe if I slow down just a little bit I’ll get passed by a lot of people. Maybe someone or more will hit the wall and I will end up on the podium. You just need to go, just keep going.
It’s like trying to convince my mind that it’s going to be ok… just get me there. Don’t fail me.

What a race. 2:03:45 at the 2026 Boston Marathon, finishing 5th and setting a new 🇺🇸 all-time marathon best.
The photo says it all. I’m happy with the result, but even more grateful for what came after the finish — so much love from the crowd.
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey — my wife, my coach, teammates, friends, and everyone who believed in me.
Thank you to the team and Boston for an unforgettable experience.
Congrats to my fellow 🇺🇸 for incredible race ALL under 2:06 🔥.
Keep believing in yourself and keep showing up. Nothing can stop you but your own mind.
See you at the next one ❤️

I finished 2nd and ran 27:37 Road PB in 10k at
I had heard about the Cooper River Bridge Run and wanted to experience it for myself. It’s not your typical 10K—the long climb over the bridge and the fast downhill make it a real test of strength, control, and rhythm.
Perfect timing too, just 23 days before the Boston Marathon. A great way to feel the hills, handle the downhills, and get my body ready for what Boston demands.
kurgat was stronger on the day and took the win—respect. With both of us under the previous course record.
Happy with the effort, learned a lot, and excited for what’s next.

I ran a 10K personal best — 27:45, finishing 2nd in Rockin’ Rib 10k and racing in Florida for the first time. Grateful to the organizers and everyone who made this event unforgettable.
I’m taking this momentum straight into training for my next race — hungry, motivated, and thankful for every step.
And the best part?
My wife smashed a PB too — 33:41, just a few months after having our baby. Her strength inspires me every single day.
We keep growing. We keep believing. We keep working.
