Metal pins create a hard, jarring stop when the bar drops onto them. This can damage the bar’s knurling or coating, wear out the pins/rack over time, and feel punishing on your body/joints if you fail a rep. Nylon safety straps (or chain-suspended setups) absorb and spread the impact, providing a more forgiving “cradle” that reduces noise, bounce, and wear.

🫡🔥💪 • I really love both of these. I use a dip belt around my neck. The physics behind it allow for a better and more direct load on the posterior chain.

The “captain morgan” sand bag lift is also very unique. It is a very strong stimulus on the core since it is so imbalanced. Also it creates a stretch that feels really good on the groin. I’m using an 18” box but you don’t have to go that high.

And of course always bags ☠️💪🏻☠️
