Introducing one of our distinguished guest artists for our Summer Intensives, Mary Wyatt Johnson!

Mary Wyatt Johnson grew up in Elgin, South Carolina, where her love for ballet took root almost before she could walk — she began training with Debra Bricker at Academy of Dance Arts at the age of two. By fifteen, her dedication had taken her to Cary, NC, where she joined the full-time pre-professional program at Cary Ballet Conservatory, studying under Mariaelena Ruiz and Heather Iler. Her summers training included Boston Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and the Bolshoi Ballet.
Mary Wyatt joined New Orleans Ballet Theatre in 2023, and has since earned her teaching certification in Progressing Ballet Technique, has a degree in elementary education, and serves NOBT as Costume Director. She is also the Creative Director of Thé Ballet Designs.
