Senior Jorgie Johnston secured her medal in the quarters with a tech fall and is in the semis looking to move on to the finals.
Junior Belle Dunlop starts her tournament off strong with a 42 second pin, falls in the quarters but is coming back strong with another pin and is still on the hunt for a medal.

This weekend was a good weekend for Winnetonka boys wrestling. 7 boys punched their ticket to state!!!

Aaron Robert’s 113lbs: 4th
Braiden Loyd 120lbs: 2nd
Tyrre Broom 126lbs: 2nd
Landon Sherman 144lbs: 2nd
Jayyb Edmiston 157lbs: 4th

Districts Day 2

We have 6 boys in the semis and 8 on the backside still trying to fight to punch their ticket to state!!!

Wresting Starts: 10:00 AM

Ticket info:
● Admission - $6.00 ages 6 and over. Card and cash options will be available at the door.
● Tickets are also available on the MSHSAA website. https:/www.mshsaa.org/Tickets.aspx
● No Coolers in the fieldhouse gymnasium, team camps and food will be in the auxiliary gym.
● A trainer will be available all day and we will have a doctor for skin checks

We have athletes at a handful of colleges continuing their wrestling career. It's exciting to add another to that group. Can't wait to see you compete at the next level!

A historic moment for the Winnetonka wrestling program occurred over this past weekend. Senior Jorgie Johnston won her 150th high school career match!! She is the first in the programs history for girls or boys to obtain this feat!

It has been an exciting ride watching her wrestle and grow these past 4 years. We can't wait to see how her season rounds out and what that final record number ends up being.
