Yesterday was the second day of rifle season, and at 40 degrees, it was still a bit warm. It was 60 degrees on opening day, and absolutely nothing moved in the morning, but I did shoot a doe in the evening.

You can see that I’m hunting from a Redneck blind - works rain or shine. I’m shooting a custom made Oberndorf Ma**er in 25-06, with an old Zeiss 3x9 by 36mm scope. Pretty heavy barrel, double set triggers, and I bought it cheap. Figured I needed at least one Ma**er, and this was the very best.

Anybody having good luck during rifle season?
