🏈 Bridge Development League Flag Football & Tackle Football: For Everyone. For Your School. For Fun.
The Bridge Development League is a partnership between Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission (ICRC) and Lexington-Richland School District Five that provides young athletes with the opportunity to learn the game, develop fundamental skills, and prepare for future competitive play in a positive, supportive environment.
Players will have the opportunity to represent their zoned school team and mascot (Irmo, Chapin, or Dutch Fork) while wearing district school-colored and logoed jerseys. The league is open to all children, regardless of school or district affiliation.
Fall 2026 registration is open: July 16–August 13
• Flag Football | Boys & Girls Ages 12–14
• Tackle Football | Boys Ages 11–13
The season costs $90 and scholarships are available to ensure everyone plays.

60 YEARS OR OLDER - GOLDEN PASS DISTRIBUTION: Lexington-Richland School District Five is encouraging community members 60-years-old or older to be involved and active in district-sponsored events and activities for the upcoming school year.
The district will offer Golden Passes to residents who will be 60-years-old or older during the 2026-2027 school year and whose residence is in the School District Five attendance zone on Tuesday, July 28 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and Wednesday, July 29 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the district administration building, which is located at 1020 Dutch Fork Road in Irmo. Golden Passes are lifetime passes and do not need to be renewed.
The permanent photo identification card provides free admission into most athletic and cultural arts events in School District Five, excluding playoff games.
“The Golden Pass program brings community members of all ages together and provides an opportunity to say thank you to our senior community for volunteering and supporting our schools,” School District Five Superintendent Dr. Akil E. Ross, Sr. said. “When the stands are filled, our students feel supported by the community and recognized for their efforts.”

🏀 We had a great group this week at our Chapin Boys Basketball Camp! It was great to see so many players come together on the court to learn new skills, work through drills, and enjoy the game of basketball. Thank you to everyone who helped make this camp a great experience!

Get ready for a season of fun, teamwork, and unforgettable moments with ICRC Youth Sports! Youth sports are a great way for kids to stay active, learn new skills, build confidence, and grow both on and off the field.

‼️Saluda Shoals Park: NEW Parking System & Pass Options Coming August 5, 2026.
Saluda Shoals Park is introducing a new automated parking gate system designed to make entering the park easier and more convenient for our park patrons.
Daily Visitors
Day passes can be purchased at on-site parking kiosks. Please note that all kiosks are cashless and accept credit and debit card payments only.
Daily Parking Fees
• Standard Vehicles: $7
• 15-Passenger Vans/Buses: $15
Annual Pass Holders
Annual pass holders will no longer need a physical pass. Instead, you’ll receive a QR code that can be scanned directly from your smartphone for quick and easy park entry. Current annual pass holders may continue using their existing pass until it expires. The Annual Pass provides access to Saluda Shoals Park’s East and West gates and Dreher Shoals Landing, during regular park hours.
• Annual Pass (1st Vehicle): $75
• Annual Pass (2nd Vehicle): $40
Extended Annual Pass
The Extended Annual pass provides 24-hour
access to Saluda Shoals Park East and West gates.
• Extended Annual Pass (1st Vehicle): $100
• Extended Annual Pass (2nd Vehicle): $50
Monthly Pass
For visitors seeking greater flexibility, monthly passes will now be available. The 1-Month Park Pass allows access to Saluda Shoals Park East and West gates and Dreher Shoals Landing. The 1-Month Extended Pass is good only at Saluda Shoals Park East and West gates.
• 1-Month Park Pass: $10 per vehicle
• 1-Month Extended Park Pass: $15 per vehicle
Updated fees and new pass options are effective August 5, 2026. All credit/debit card transactions will include a 3.5% merchant fee.
