As a final note I want to make one last post.

Thank you once again to our sponsors for supporting these special girls on their journey! There is nothing better anyone can do than invest into the future of the community.

Thanks to the parents, grandparents, siblings, and fans for your never ending support. These girls could never have made it this far without the overwhelming support of all of you. The countless late night practices you drove them to, the PTO you took, the money you spent, the prayers of blessings and safety you prayed over them, and the love and encouragement you gave them. At one point we were up to 175 viewers on the live and that is amazing for a group of 6 year olds from a small town in south Mississippi. I know some that were even streaming on their big screens for the whole family to watch.

To our director, Josh, thank you. I don’t know of many directors with not a single family member on a team that would drive 7 hours to support a group of kids but you did. All of the girls were so happy to see you.

To the girls who have done nothing but blow our minds all summer.. who have shown resilience and never given up. Who have fought back and won many game. Who have shown such good sportsmanship and talent. Who LOVE this game and love each other. Your parents, your grand parents, your friends, your hometown and your state COULD NOT be any prouder of you all.

Last but certainly not least, thank you to our coaches. Many of you may not know, but two of our coaches didn’t have a single kid on this team. They selflessly sacrificed their summer nights and weekends to pour into these girls and that will never be forgotten. Our head coach Aaron who showed the perfect balance of love and discipline and always stood ten toes behind his girls. You won’t find a better coach. Our coach pitcher, Sam, who roughed it out pregnant and invested so much into these kids. She’s an absolute beast! I saw her many times being a Mama in the dugout. I’ve always heard “kids don’t learn from coaches that they don’t like”, and by watching this team over the summer it’s easy to see they loved and learned so much from this group. So from this mama and all the mamas and daddy’s THANK YOU to the number one coaching staff in the world!

Everyone’s love and support has been felt and has not for a second went unnoticed.

Let’s not ever let this one loss overshadow how much this group of 12 has accomplished over 7 short weeks.

After an amazing 7 weeks, your Columbia 6U Allstars have ended their outstanding season 25-2! These girls fought hard all summer and earned their way to the World Series! They came up one run short in the championship game with the winning run coming across the plate as we got the third out. The girls are heartbroken, but I think that just goes to speak to their love and dedication to the game! They have nothing to hang their heads about because they have done an absolute amazing job and represented their city and state well! Forever loving and screaming TEAM MISSISSIPPI!

We are in another lightening delay

We are on a lightening delay.

Your Columbia 6U all stars are headed to the championship! They have to win twice to take home the title! Send them prayers and good vibes for peace and calm nerves!

Yesterday was a wild ride. After winning 22 games straight, the girls fell a little short to Texas. They were devastated, and it was very hard to see as parents, coaches, and fans. After a tough loss you can battle deep or you can give up. The girls were ready to battle and battle is what they did. They came back to win two more games yesterday and ended the night with a very hard fought battle against a very talented Texas team. They play at 11 AM this morning and must win in order to advance to the championship game. If they advance to the championship game they will then have to beat that team twice. They need all of your love and support. These girls have worked hard and proved themselves time and time again in several situations. They have been led by some amazing coaches that have brought out the best in each of them. They started their journey as a team 7 weeks ago and my goodness what a journey they have had. Sadly, win or lose today is the end of their journey. So for the last time LETS GO MISSISSIPPI!!

In an absolute battle to the bitter end Mississippi has put out Texas and will play again at 11 AM to go to the championship!!!!
