SIAC CHAMPIONS!!

I am pleased to announce that the Maroon Tigers have won the 2026 SIAC outdoor track and field championships! You can see all of the results as well as re-watch the meet at the following links. Also, I've attached a few photos from the meet provided by alumni Doug Coleman and Jared Russell, who were present for the event. In the coming weeks, a few of the guys will be preparing for the NCAA track championships and we'll be updating you as soon as we obtain that information. This championship completes the sweep for this school year of Morehouse winning the Cross Country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field conference championships. Something not done in recent history in the SIAC!

Morehouse Relays 2026 Morehouse Relays 2026

Greetings brothers!

The time is here once again! Morehouse Relays is upon us, and will commence this Thursday morning, culminating with finals of most events on Saturday. As we mentioned earlier, we look forward to honoring our past All Americans, as well as our greatest track and field alumnus Edwin Moses, on the 50th anniversary of his earning the gold medal at the Montreal Summer Games in 1976. The meet this weekend begins each day at 9 am, and will run on a rolling schedule. If you would like a copy of the meet schedule for each day, you can contact associate head coach Chris Doomes directly at [email protected].

We're also setting aside a meeting table for all alumni to gather, rekindle old friendships, speak to high school athletes about Morehouse, and make donations to the foundation. This table will be located near the 200m starting line at the northeast corner of the field. As you all know, the foundation helps fund many aspects of the program when possible. In the past we've helped purchase shoes, uniforms, books, hotel stays, and transportation costs. Without our generous collection of track and cross country alumni, our beloved program would fall short in many areas. With that in mind, we have created a QR code to make donating easier, and more convenient for our alums / donors. Also remember that the foundation is a 501c3 organization, and donations can be designated as such for tax purposes.

Lastly, some of you may have noticed last year that many of the foundation board members were wearing sweatshirts with "Morehouse Track and Field Alumnus" imprinted on the front. We are now offering you all the opportunity to purchase one of these sweatshirts at $75 each. Part of the proceeds from the sales will go directly towards the needs of the cross country / track and field program. For those that did not get the chance to see the sweatshirt, I've attached a picture of myself wearing one below this message. You'll see that I am wearing the maroon version but, we also have it in white and gray. If you are interested in purchasing you may also use our paypal QR code (posted in the comments of this thread) and specify "sweatshirt order" in the title of the donation header, when prompted. For those attending the meet this weekend, you'll get a chance to see the different colors of the sweatshirt. For those, not attending, we'll be sure to provide photos after this weekend, of the different colors.

Greetings brothers!

I wanted to take this time to update you on the upcoming meets / events for the track and field program for the coming weeks. This coming weekend (March 20-21st), the Maroon Tigers will be competing at the annual Lee University Invitational in Cleveland, TN. The following weekend will be the annual Morehouse Relays from March 26-28th. At those Morehouse Relays the foundation will be honoring our past NCAA All Americans over the course of the three day meet. If you, or a former teammate, were an NCAA All American during your time in the program, please be sure to attend if you can. Not only will we be honoring our past NCAA All Americans, we will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of Edwin Moses' earning his first Olympic gold medal at the 1976 Montreal Games.

Finally, if you are an alumnus of the cross country / track and field program we will also have a central meeting place (table) on the field for you all to re-connect, encourage the current members of the program during competition, as well as meet / counsel any future Morehouse men who may be competing for one of the high schools scheduled to compete that weekend. Finally, we are in the planning stages of having a post meet brunch / lunch for program alums and their families, on Sunday March 29th at 11 am. Confirmation of location will be shared in a few days. At this upcoming meeting we'll be updating everyone on the status of the program, results from last week's SIAC Indoor Championships, the upcoming NCAA Indoor Championships, and all the events we have planned for Morehouse Relays Weekend (March 26 - 29th)! Morehouse Relays are in one month, so please make a note of it and try to attend as we have something special planned for that weekend. I'm happy to report that Brian Kemei, SIAC cross country champion for 2025, competed at the NCAA regional cross country meet in Lakeland, Florida this past Saturday and finished in 13th place out of 125 runners. He BARELY missed qualifying for the NCAA national championship meet, but finished with the highest placing for a Morehouse athlete in program history! An incredible accomplishment and a great way to end an incredible career as a four time SIAC champion.

Kemei Represents Morehouse, Narrowly Misses Nationals at South Region Meet - Morehouse College Athletics Morehouse College senior Brian Kemei turned in a strong performance at the NCAA Division II South Region Cross Country Championships, finishing 13th overall in the men's 10K race at Holloway Park on Saturday.
