Hi, I’m Lisa. Lisa Resnick believes movement doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. A longtime runner and lover of movement, Lisa has been practicing yoga for 16 years, returning to it throughout different seasons of life as a way to build strength, create space, slow down, and reconnect with herself.
As a wife, mom of two teenage boys, entrepreneur, writer, and runner, Lisa understands what it’s like to live a full life—and how easy it can be to put yourself at the bottom of the list. Over the years, yoga has become more than another form of exercise. It has given her a place to slow down while still honoring her love of movement, strength, and challenge.
Lisa’s approach to yoga is grounded, welcoming, and real. She believes yoga should meet you where you are, not where you think you’re supposed to be. Some days that means challenging yourself; other days it means slowing down, breathing, stretching, and simply being present. Her goal is to create a space where people feel comfortable listening to their bodies and leave feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected to themselves.
Lisa is a certified Hatha Vinyasa yoga instructor and has completed a 300-hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Renew. Her teaching reflects something she has learned through years of running, yoga, and life: movement should add to our lives—not become another thing we’re trying to get right.
Outside of yoga, Lisa can usually be found running or walking, writing, building her business, spending time with her husband and boys, or hanging out with her golden retriever, Pancake.
All Level Flow class at 5:30pm with Lisa will be offered starting on Monday Sept 14th.
All Level Flow:
This flowing Vinyasa Yoga class at Fire & Stone is open to all students. Using an eclectic blend of asana styles, this class gives you a new and different experience each time you practice. We break down the sequence, holding each posture to feel the depth and strength. Together we flow, moving with breath to movement. Expect a variation of sun salutations, standing, and seated postures, balance, twisting, back bending, and inversions with modifications suited for each practioner. Pranayama and stillness incorporated for a meditative ending. Come and experience the journey within!
