It may come as no surprise to you that we’re putting Skate Date on hold for the foreseeable future. Since June, we’ve enjoyed hosting y’all every week and watching skills and community grow so much. While we’d love to continue this weekly event, we can no longer feel good about a big gathering with COVID numbers where they’re at. Along with that, the temperatures are dropping and outdoor events are feeling less comfortable. We’ll still be here, skating in our own socially distanced way! And we’ll keep posting here because we love interacting with you. Promise we’ll let you know as soon as we are ready to host the next Skate Date. Love y’all from very bottoms of our hearts! Stay safe and warm❤️

[image description: a background with multi-colored pastel circles overlapping sits behind a person from the chest up with brown skin and a brown afro looking straight forward. They are wearing round sunglasses with the text “for gals, trans, and non-binary folks” written across them. They have earrings on, one a tiny green roller skate and the other a tiny orange skateboard with BLM on it. They are sucking on a red sucker that reads ACAB. Right below their teal shirt collar reads “Wear a mask” and “all wheels welcome”. Three different bubbles outside of the person read “Saturday Sept 26” “10am to 1pm” and “600 Oakland Park Ave”.
