Ok let’s face it by the time you get to week 10 or 11 or 12 or whatever it is now all the pictures basically start to look the same. Sooooo I figured why not try something different. I found a 20-yr old Canon camera with a 50mm lens on Marketplace and negotiated it down to $150 for everything including a memory card 🙌🏻 It’s old, it’s heavy, it’s slow, and it has terrible autofocus, but hey it’ll be “Fun” and if nothing else look different. So I knew action shots were not going to go well so I’d just do stills of helmets on the floor and warm-ups since those are are super easy then focus on the sidelines and plays that came right at me. I personally don’t like 50mm as a “Look” but that’s what was on the camera so on to the game. Shot it like I normally do other than trying to stay closer to the play and moving around a lot. Miraculously I still got a 100+ pic game gallery and quite a few I genuinely like 📸 More B&W than usual since I think the artsy look leans that way. Oh, and meanwhile BW did win 43-0. Tons of big plays as usual, a pretty cool full-moon, and weather that ended up being pretty decent for the O-H in November. For those wanting to get into sports shooting it can cost a million dollars or it can cost $150 and as long as you’re out there enjoying the experience and learning that’s what matters. Black and yellow Black and yellow…Your 🦅 D smothered North all game long like the best of Steelers teams of old. was a beast including scoring 2-points with a safety. is just a game-wrecker. .hysell and and and just too many great performances to name. Just too good. Offense did what it does which equaled a 30-0 halftime score with everything firing on all cylinders. North had no answers. Oh, and it was awesome to see #6 back out there scoring TD’s and looking like he hasn’t skipped a beat. For those that saw it in person it finally felt like fall in the O-H and just an amazing night for FNL. JV Eagles made it a hat-trick (On the heals of the freshman win) yet again with a W over Kilbourne 42-12. The boys came out and built a nice lead and never looked back. Smothering D and just too good on the O-line and the Wolves had no answer. Great game boys and Let’s Go Eagles! 🦅🦅

Your Eagles went on the road for yet another gorgeous FNL in the buckeye state and played spoiler on the Wolves’ homecoming night. Too much O-line and too much as he ran for almost 200 yards and 4 TDs and the wolves simply had no answer. On D was everywhere like always and yet again is an interception machine in that secondary. To their credit the wolves did come back and tie things up 20-20 in the second half and then 2 plays later Nolan rips an 80-yard sprint off for a TD to say “Not so fast” boys. The match-up wirh North has grown into quite the rivalry in recent years and this ‘25 version was no different. At half things were knotted at 0-0 and then a storm hit delaying things for about an hour. After the break North scored first taking a 1-0 lead. As things were starting to get a little tense for the home team kicked in a penalty kick to tie things up 1-1. In the final few minutes Jacob crushed a shot off the crossbar and fired one just a bit outside to end things in a tie. Max effort from all involved and great lessons for the Eagles to rally around come tourney time. Let’s go Eagles! 🦅🦅

On Military appreciation night your varsity Eagles hosted South in a gorgeous FNL match-up of cross-town rivals. Last week it was the Nolan Buirley show and last night it was time for Eli Stumpf to do all the scoring with 4 TD's running/passing (Dallas taking one 40+ yards to the house). The D led by Eli Helton was on lock-down all night long so this one was never in doubt and ended with a 28-7 W for the birds. Great game boys and Let's Go Eagles!!
