Another thing we’re proud of here at 10th Planet Columbus. 🌎🏆

We are officially registered with the IBJJF and USBJJF for 2026!

What does that actually mean for you?

✅ Our head instructor is an IBJJF-registered black belt.
✅ Our academy registration requires background screening and SafeSport training for the instructors listed on it.
✅ Our students can represent 10th Planet Columbus at IBJJF events, with their instructor’s membership approval handled right here through Coach Zack.

If competing at events like No-Gi Pans is one of your goals, this is part of getting you there. You have a registered academy and an instructor here who can help you through the process, from preparing on the mats to getting your membership paperwork signed off.

Our Muay Thai crew has been going HAM lately! 🔥🥊 So many people putting in the work, learning how to strike, and getting better together. We love to see it!

If jiu-jitsu isn’t your thing but you still want to learn how to defend yourself, build confidence, and get a good workout in, I highly recommend giving Muay Thai a shot. Women, teens, adults—there’s a place for you here. No experience needed. Just show up ready to learn!

And we have ROOM! With 3,000 square feet of mat space and plenty of pads, we’re ready to keep this program growing. Bring a friend and come get some work in! 💪

🥊 Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30–8:30 p.m.
🥊 Saturday: 11 a.m. sparring, with a beginner intro for the first 30 minutes

Everything is FREE and open to the community. No membership needed! Here’s the rundown 👇

👻 4:30–5:30 PM | Kids Halloween Class
Wear your costumes! We’ll have fun games and prizes for best costume. Bring your kids and invite their friends!

🍬 5:30 PM | Trunk-or-Treat
Everyone’s welcome to come grab candy in the plaza parking lot—you do NOT have to attend class!
Want to pass out candy? Arrive at 5:15 PM to set up and be ready for the kids at 5:30.

🎭 6:00 PM | Adult Halloween Party
Costumes, games, best-costume prizes, and time to hang out! No rolling during this part—just come enjoy the festivities.

🐺 7:30 PM | BARK AT THE MOON
A FREE community open mat for adults with a LIVE BAND! Wear your costume or regular rolling gear. All gyms and affiliations welcome—come roll or just enjoy the music!

A year and a half ago, Coach Ari was a beginner, too. Think about that. 💜

Now she’s earning her place on the podium at No-Gi Pans AND helping women and kids take that same first step here at 10th Planet Columbus.

That’s what gets me excited. Our kids get to watch their coach challenge herself. Our women get to learn from someone who remembers exactly what it feels like to be new.

You don’t have to want to compete. Maybe you want to feel more confident, try something for yourself, or give your kid a place to grow. We’re here for all of it.

🥈 COACH ARI — NO-GI PANS SILVER MEDALIST! 🌎🔥

With only about a year and a half of training, Ari just earned SECOND PLACE at one of the biggest and toughest no-gi tournaments in the world! Placing at an IBJJF major is no small task. Every opponent brought a tough battle, and she fought hard for that podium spot. 💪

Coach Ari leads our women’s-only classes and our kids’ classes, and we’re proud to have someone who keeps challenging herself leading the next generation on the mats.

We see the work she puts in, the progress she’s made, and the heart she brings to this team. Today, that hard work earned some silver. ❤️

🥉 BIG shoutout to NAZ!

Naz has been with us since the beginning, and today he stepped up and took THIRD with a pin and some hard-fought matches! 💪🔥

So proud of him for putting himself out there and testing what he’s been working on. Wrestling doesn’t have to end after high school—there are still opportunities to learn, compete, and challenge yourself. Naz is out here showing us exactly that!

Right now, he’s all about wrestling… but we’ll get him into jiu-jitsu eventually. 😂👽

Great job, brother. Much love. Let’s keep working and keep getting better! 🤼‍♂️
