🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: CAF has announced sanctions for both Morocco and Senegal following the AFCON final incidents.
CAF have also confirmed that Senegal are rightful champions.
Senegal's sanctions:
• 5-match ban (CAF games only) for coach Pape Thiaw + a $100,000 fine.
• 2-match ban for Iliman Ndiaye and Ismaïla Sarr.
• A $615,000 fine for the Senegalese Football Association.
Morocco's sanctions:
• A 2-match ban for Achraf Hakimi.
• A 3-match ban for Ismaël Saibari plus a $100,000 fine.
• A $300,000 fine for the Moroccan Football Federation.
• A $200,000 fine for the ball boys for the incident regarding Mendy's towel.

Canon Of Yaoundé officially begins its MTN Elite One campaign with a disappointing draw against Stade Renard de Melong at the Ahmadou Ahidjo staduim. The presence of Nathan Douala and the return of Akoh Assomo didn’t help the 3-times African champions begin the campaign on a front foot.
The hosts were powerless offensively despite Nathan Douala creating 3 chances and a goal line clearance of his attempt. It was in the second half that the Foxes woke up and mounted pressure on the host which didn’t yield fruits. In the dead end of the game Canon striker Asiga Frank who single-handedly promoted Unisport du Haut Nkam miss two glaring chances with the last one a Face to face vs the goalie.
Disappointing draw for the host in this beginning campaign but a lot to take from this encounter both coaches said.
