Ladies and Gentlemen… here is our second candidate for the position of Commissioner, our current Commissioner Calvin Interiano!!! Calvin has written a letter and wanted to share a video message for all of you!!!!
Hello beautiful people, as we all know the commissioner position is up for election this year in September! Personally, I am excited because this time every active player in the league will have the opportunity to vote for who you would like to see as your representative. I would like to continue serving as your commissioner because I know I have a lot more to give to our community, and for that I will need your vote.
I started playing softball in Boston, Massachusetts a long time ago. In 2010 one of my biggest dreams came true when we won the World Series in Columbus, Ohio. This year we will be going back to Columbus and it will certainly bring back memories. This year we are excited to announce that we are sending 2 teams (1 in D. 1 in C). I wish our teams the best and most importantly-have fun.
When I joined SNEFSL, I started as a player, but I wanted to get more involved in the league. In 2020, I started a new team and have coached and sponsored the Panteras ever since. This has given me a greater appreciation for how our league operates.
For the last three years I have served as your commissioner and believe that we have accomplished a lot in that time. The league has expanded the number of teams, our finances have stabilized, we started our annual all-star game and participated in many community events including pride celebrations as well as Yard Goat and Wolf Pack games.
I am also excited to work with fellow board member Ben Toro to collaborate with Rhode Island and Boston for a New England Cup softball tournament in September.
One of the best experiences as commissioner has
been working iPride and developing relationships with their board members and other leagues around the country. This experience helps to improve SNESFL as we share ideas about how to make us all stronger.
Ultimately, the true strength of our league is the people, and it has been a great pleasure to get to
know so many of you better over the last several years. I know together we can continue to grow and improve SNESFL. This year we are celebrating 45 years as a league, and I think we are well positioned for many more years to come.
I would like to continue with the league legacy because I know I have so much more to give!
Spread the love because we have no room for negativity.
Sincerely,
Calvin.

Good Afternoon, we are anticipating over an inch of rain today which is quite a bit. Tomorrow morning we will be at the field early to try to clean them up and get them playable. So we are going to start the first games at 12:30!!! If further delays are required we will update you in the morning. Also if the fields can not be fixed we will also make the decision to cancel in the morning as well, but again let’s plan on starting at 12:30 to give the field a chance to dry a bit after we do maintenance.
Thanks

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have our first candidate who will be running for our Commissioner! James DeFlaco!!! Our current Asst. Commissioner!!! Here are some words James wanted to share with everyone:
Over the past two years, it has been an incredible honor to serve as your Assistant Commissioner and work alongside an outstanding Board of Directors. Together, we've built tremendous momentum for our league. We've grown from six teams to seven, with the potential to expand even further in 2027. We've created new fundraising opportunities through events like the Yard Goats and Wolf Pack games, increased our presence at Pride celebrations throughout the region, and strengthened relationships with other leagues through tournaments and community events.
These accomplishments were possible because people came together with a shared vision: to continue building a league that is welcoming, inclusive, and focused on community.
Today, I'm excited to announce that I am running for Commissioner.
I am running on a platform of inclusion, diversity, transparency, and community. Our league has always been about more than softball. For 45 years, it has been a place where LGBTQ+ athletes and our allies come together—not just to compete, but to build friendships, support one another, and create a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
As Commissioner, my commitment is simple: every member deserves to be heard. I believe our league is strongest when everyone has a voice, every team is represented, and every player feels like they belong. Leadership isn't about one person making all the decisions—it's about listening, collaborating, and ensuring that every member has an opportunity to help shape the future of our league.
As we celebrate 45 years of history, we're also entering an exciting new chapter. New members are joining, new ideas are emerging, and new opportunities are in front of us. I want to build on the incredible foundation we've established while continuing to grow the league, strengthen our partnerships within the community, expand opportunities for our members, and ensure that our league remains a place where everyone—regardless of background, identity, or experience—feels welcome.
If elected, I will lead with integrity, respect, and openness. I will continue to champion the values that have made this league special while embracing new ideas that will help us grow for years to come.
It would be an incredible honor to serve as your Commissioner and help lead the next chapter of a league that has meant so much to so many people. Together, we can continue building a community where LGBTQ+ members and allies stand side by side, supporting one another both on and off the field.
I would be grateful for your support and your vote.

We would like to announce the details for our 2026 All Star Game and HR Derby!!! Along with the team selections and the teams. This year we did something alittle different, this year the teams selected their All Stars (as last year) but we had the two coaches (who played in the championship game last year) conduct a draft to pick their teams. This will be a unique experience as we see All Star teammates playing against each other!!!!! So here are our SNEFSL 2026 All Stars!!!!!! Congratulations to those selected!!!
