🌊 Let's dive into winter! Our next dive social is coming up and we want you to bring your friends! 🌊

We are hosting our next Dive Social on Saturday, October 17th from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM at River City Scuba.

This isn't just a regular get-together, it’s the perfect opportunity to connect, enjoy some free food and beverages, and most importantly, progress your skills in the water.

👥 BRING A DIVE BUDDY! 👥

We want to grow our community with passionate people. We are strongly encouraging everyone to bring along friends who:

• Are curious about getting started in scuba diving 🤿
• Already have some diving experience but want to build their confidence, learn new techniques, and advance their certifications! 📈

Our event with Guillaume Fargues will be rescheduled for a later time, but we have something exciting to fill in! Listen as some of our divers host a "fireside" chat, share stories, and talk about how diving went from a hobby to a passion. Come catch up with fellow divers, bring your friends, and map out your next underwater adventures together!

Great day yesterday at Help the H***h! Our volunteer divers, including our Dive Against Debris students, removed approximately 1k pounds of debris; tires, cell phones, dishes, a car battery, a large amount of fishing line and gear, and other trash that was polluting our local waterway! One of our divers was able to free some live fish and turtles who had become entangled in some discarded netting.

Huge thank you to our volunteer divers and to our land support volunteers for keeping us fed, hydrated, and for manning the tent. Special thanks to our friends at the Russell County Sheriff's office for safety monitoring!

River City Scuba is open today and ready to help you with your Scuba needs. Come let me see how I can help you advance your scuba adventures or get you started on the route underwater. Also a reminder that Help the H***h is a week away. If you have not signed up to help please visit our website and search 32nd Help the H***h on the under our Charters. Your tanks will be provided and this will be a great opportunity to help improve our local community. 🌊Are you diving with us for the Help the H***h event on Oct. 3rd or just want to learn more about how to apply your diving to helping the environment? We are hosting the PADI Dive Against Debris specialty course at River City Scuba to get you completely ready to protect our local waters.

While not required to join us with Help the H***h, it is recommended and is one of PADI's most affordable specialty courses, and also counts toward a Master Scuba Diver rating as well as other PADI Pro certifications!

River City Scuba had a busy weekend!

On top of conducting some drift diver and advanced open water certifications, it was also Junior Diver weekend.

Saturday our divers and junior divers enjoyed the sights along the jetties at St. Andrew's Park in Panama City. Sea life spotted included an octopus and a nurse shark.

Sunday teams were split on 2 boat trips, an inshore and an offshore wreck dive. Some low viz didn't stop these divers and our junior divers enjoyed a trip to the Black Pearl.
