Found some more bent parts on the modified this morning. Pull bar brackets bent. Not going to have time to fix it to be able to go to the big mod race at Red Hill Raceway tonight so if I get it fixed in time I’ll try to make it to Paragon speedway tonight. I’m a one man band so Rome wasn’t built in a couple of hours. Good luck to all my racing friends tonight where ever they travel to.

Our first ever trip to Red Hill raceway didn’t go as well as we hoped for. Just wanted to get some laps in and figure out a new track. Started in the back row of our heat and the track had a lot of grip . Got to forth thru turns one and two. I was on the chip catching 2 nd and 3 rd very quickly but they decided to spin in turn 3 and block the track. Had to spin the b32 on purpose to keep from destroying the front end and made very hard contact with the 2nd place starter with our right rear wheel. Broke the J bar. We didn’t have a spare so the night was done for us quick. That’s racing sometimes. I’ll try red hill again but next time I’ll be a little more patient and remember just because they have a very fast car in time trials doesn’t always mean they will keep the front tires pointed in front of them in the heat race. But that’s why we have roll bars. Enjoy this special weekend and remember the ones that died to protect our freedom.

Mudlick valley raceway 5/20/23

First night of racing in the books. Made the haul to Lewis co Kentucky for our first visit ever for the 3 grand to win Modified race. Nice staff and lots wonderful people we met. After getting very heavy rain in the early morning to around noon the sunshine came out and a long night of racing would happen. In hot laps the car was fast and I was beginning to figure out this track. In time trials is where the wheels fell off and the left rear brake line broke going into turn 1 on the first lap. Not good for a fast lap. Failed to get repairs done in time to run our heat . 28 modifieds on hand but they decided to start all of us. I started on the tail but the track had fell apart and was quite the rodeo ride. After a couple of yellows and broken driveshafts and wrecks I decided not to add to the list and hit the infield. Finishing somewhere around 20 th . Not really sure. Still a fun trip with my wife a sponsor double J heating and ac with us. We will return to mudlick again this season at some point as we got other new tracks to check out this summer. Enjoy your Sunday.

I think Lefty did a good job on the hot rod. First time out of the garage this season. Hopefully Mother Nature will be nice this weekend so we can throw some dirt. Thanks Tammy Davis.
