You CANNOT succeed without doing these 2 things...
My buddy Kevin was struggling with the endurance and stamina to play his favorite sport (hockey).
But after some deeper conversation, we uncovered he was struggling with his confidence -- which had bled into other areas of his life.
And he was ready to take control and change that narrative!
Over the course of 10 months, we hit a ton of new PR's across the board, but 2 of his biggest Wโs came in the form of:
A. Performing a 300lb. deadlift
B. Finishing his first 1/2 Marathon
These tasks, impressive in their own right, represented a culmination of the hard work, perseverance, and mental toughness that Kevin had developed since our start.
Admittedly, on our first few weeks, he struggled to lift more than an empty bar (45lbs) and couldn't run more than 10-12 minutes without having to stop.
Beyond the hard work, there were 2 pieces to the puzzle that were the foundation to his success...
1. TRACKING PROGRESS
By diligently tracking his training, he was able to see his progress day over day; week over week; month over month.
Not only helping him keep on the path, but providing those boosts of motivation and feeding into his confidence in hitting new milestones.
Not to mention providing better understanding when life threw chaos at him to stay the course.
2. COLLABORATION
Together we came up with a game plan that led toward his goals, worked within his available schedule, and made sense for what he could and would be able to do.
And when things got dicey, he had the support to talk through obstacles and unlock ways to get through them.
Kevin is a great example that the transformation you undergo is much deeper than pounds lost, inches melted, or muscles toned.
We all have fitness goals we want to achieve and often the biggest things standing in our way are:
-Knowledge of what to do
-A plan in place to reach our goals
-Collaborator to set expectations & help hold you to them

Can we get some love going for my guy Brad?!
Brad came to me with a desire to drop from mid-220s to around 200lbs - focusing around losing his belly.
Before we started together he was a rock climber but dealt with some sciatic issues and wanting to get better + healthier, decided it was time to take control over his diet and exercise!
Though he was ready to go, there was some hesitation that the results he had seen quickly on his own would continue as they had begun to stagnate.
Especially with little prior knowledge or adherence to much nutrition.
When we discussed nutrition and Walker through setting up a grocery list, it all seemed to click at how easy it could be to find healthier options that still tasted good and didnโt leave him feeling starving or breaking the bank.
Now having crossed under 210lbs at the time of typing this, โfor the first time in a REALLY long timeโ has his excitement at an all time high!

Justin came to me having joined a gym but with the mental exhaustion of work draining his energy every day, didnโt know where to start, but knew reclaiming his old life of vibrance, energy, confidence, and happiness was something he didnโt just want, but desperately needed!
Before we started working together, Justin joined a gym because he was โtired of feeling tired!โ but that exhaustion left him with no real direction or idea of where to even begin. With the added stress of a full time job standing on his feet, noticing his joints starting to stiffen up, and never having been an athletic person, he noticed that the pounds had started to stick around when they hadnโt before.
He almost didnโt start with me because he wasnโt sure if he would have the time between work, his relationship, and helping take care of an ill father-in-law, finding time for himself was minimal. He decided to try it anyway, because he knew if he didnโt take action, his situation would only get worse!
โMy biggest breakthrough was seeing that I was getting stronger day in and day out, and that small changes to my diet rather than sweeping changes have been working better than I thought. A big side win has been being able to help take care of my father-in-law and still having energy for myself!
Fast forward 12 weeks, and Justin lost 23lbs. And has been reclaiming confidence in himself that he hasnโt felt in years! Heโs still about halfway to his final goal, but getting compliments from neighbors, friends, and family have him excited for not only where he is, but where heโs headed!

Sometimes you don't realize how much you've let yourself go until you see a picture and don't even recognize yourself.
And that's what happened to me.
Winter of 2012 I saw a picture of myself (๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ต๐ต๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐ณ๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐ต) with my family and had no idea who that guy was looking back at me.
That was the turning point that led me to where I am today.
Over the next handful of years, not only did I throw out (never to gain again!) over 65lbs of fat, but I have reclaimed a confidence, energy, and strength of myself that I never thought possible!
Which is what led me to pursue a career helping others who see old pictures of themselves and want to reclaim that energy, strength, vibrance they once had.
