SSBL 2026 ELECTIONS:

Candidate- Josh Kobza

Position Sought- Secretary

Bio-
"Joshua has only been a part of SSBL since 2025, and it has already become a major part of his life. Between going to every Saturday game, after innings, Sunday watch parties, Fall Ball, and volunteering at AmFam, if you ask what Joshua is up to there is a good chance it's softball related. Having the honor to represent SSBL in the GSWS 2026, Joshua is running to become even more involved in our league, and really put in the effort and care that makes this league one of the best things in Milwaukee to be a part of."

SSBL 2026 ELECTIONS:

Candidate- Mark Hare

Position Sought- Commissioner

Bio:
"Mark has been with SSBL since 2007 and has held numerous roles within the organization as well as the executive board.
Mark was honored to receive early admission to the Hall of Fame through his contributions to the Milwaukee 2009 GSWS as well as work on many Dairyland Classic tournaments.
His first position on the board was as social media director and then served as assistant commissioner to Brian Reinkober for 4 years. He then served in the same position during the entire tenure of Kurt Baldwin.
During his tenure as assistant commissioner Mark has enhanced weekly communication to the players and managers, as well as implementation of standardized processes to improve the player experience. This season an initiative to advertise in Spanish was started and he hopes to expand on that small beginning.
Moving forward Mark hopes to be that bridge that takes us from the traditional ways of our league and add fresh young diverse voices to our footprint. Mark hopes to grow not only the team count across all three divisions but also the diversity within our league.
Mark is a firm believer in the adage of “ adapt and grow or perish”

SSBL 2026 ELECTIONS:

Candidate- Tyler Webb

Position Sought- Commissioner

Bio:
“Since joining SSBL in the Summer of 2024, Tyler was enamored by the sense of community that flowed through the league. Not just in Milwaukee- but across the iPride organization. Softball wasn’t something he had ever done before or sought out. In fact– q***r bars and spaces were something of a distant idea to him. Through SSBL, Tyler has found a community that has exceeded his wildest expectations. His love and knowledge for softball multiplying along the way, while being guided by those that came before him.
Tyler has held multiple leadership positions across non-profit organizations, and in fact holds a master degree certificate in leadership. Since 2025, Tyler has held a position on the SSBL board leaving a lasting impact in the positions he held. Having focused on the social media footprint from 2025 and the Marketing and Sponsorship throughout 2026 – he has brought an impactful addition to the league.

Below are some of the impacts Tyler has left throughout his tenure as an active board member:
• Attended and represented SSBL at the iPride Winter Meetings (2026)
• Received the end of season Commissioner Award (2024)
• Grew our social media footprint during his term as Social Media Coordinator
• Overhauled and modernized our league website
• Co-Coached a team at Gay Softball World Series
• Managed relationships with existing sponsors, reigniting relationships with previous sponsors
• While in the role of Sponsorships and Marketing– we have seen the largest Fall Ball registration ever and the highest registration for Summer 2026 in the last known digitally documented years (2021-2026).

If elected Tyler’s focus would be on the following areas during this one year-term:
• Continue the legacy built previously of celebrating where we come from
• Encourage transparency through the league, whilst leading with humility
• Continue to listen to the voice of which he would be representing
• Nurture and support the growth of the league
• Activate board and community members to lead and support the league in their own ways

Tyler’s goal is to simply support legacy while also elevating our future. Through his existing leadership with SSBL Tyler has worked hard to do his elected duties while also voluntarily filling in the gaps along the way. He hopes that you can see that work, and that you have faith in him to carry it out as your future Commissioner.

He looks forward to any of your questions at the general council meeting on November 14th.

Candidate- Dan Holderby

Position Sought- Assistant Commissioner

Bio:
"Dan Holderby (he/him) has been part of the SSBL community for two seasons and has been involved in slowpitch softball for many years. He has served on multiple boards in a variety of capacities, beginning with his election as a freshman to his fraternity’s Executive Committee and continuing through roles at the chapter, regional, and national levels. Dan believes that SSBL’s Board of Directors has a strong, forward‑looking vision that honors the League’s decades‑long mission of fostering a welcoming and inclusive softball community while continuing to grow and strengthen the organization. As Assistant Commissioner, he hopes to advance these efforts by supporting fellow Board members in their roles and by helping improve organizational processes, communication, outreach, and collaboration with organizations in Milwaukee that share SSBL’s commitment to creating affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ people."

“Patti Meadors is a second-year SSBL player and might be recognizable to folks as the first base player who occasionally does the splits when catching the ball, and is often singing a little song. Patti has been running social media pages for the past ten years. Patti has managed social media for professional businesses, universities, personal accounts, and clubs/activities - she has done a little bit of everything. As an actor, she maintains her social media presence, including creating and updating her website. She believes a strong, consistent social media presence will help reach a broader audience across Milwaukee and continue the league's growth. With a creative eye, love of collaboration and a decade of experience, Patti is ready to bring an exciting perspective to SSBL's social media!”
