We are thrilled to officially welcome Stephanie Lowry Woodward as the Calvary Christian Girls’ Soccer Director and Head Coach! ⚽

Coach Woodward brings an elite playing pedigree, a passion for developing young athletes, and a heart for mentoring the next generation both on and off the field.

After an outstanding youth career that included multiple Utah State Championships and selection to the Utah Olympic Development Program, Stephanie continued her playing career at Columbus State University, where she became one of the most decorated players in program history. During her four-year career, she appeared in 83 matches, recording 43 goals, 19 assists, and 105 career points, while helping lead the Lady Cougars to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.

Her collegiate honors include being a two-time NCAA Division II All-American, two-time Daktronics All-American, the 2010 Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year, and 2010 Peach Belt Conference Co-Player of the Year. She was also a three-time First Team All-Peach Belt Conference selection, three-time First Team All-Southeast Region selection, three-time Peach Belt Conference All-Tournament Team honoree, an NSCAA Academic All-American, a member of the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team, and a two-time Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll recipient. She held the Columbus State career record for game-winning goals until 2018, remains among the program’s all-time leaders in goals and points, and was honored with induction into the Columbus State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018 before being named to the Columbus State Women’s Soccer All-Decade Team in 2020.

Her coaching experience spans more than a decade, including roles with Concorde Fire South, BVBIA-Georgia, and the Georgia Olympic Development Program (ODP). She holds the U.S. Soccer National “D” Coaching License and is currently completing her U.S. Soccer National “C” Coaching License, demonstrating her commitment to continued growth and providing the highest level of instruction for her players.

More importantly, Coach Woodward is passionate about investing in the lives of young women, developing them as competitors, leaders, and followers of Christ. We are confident her vision, experience, and commitment to excellence will continue to elevate our girls’ soccer program for years to come.

⚽️ BIG NEWS FOR KNIGHT NATION! ⚽️

We are thrilled to announce the hiring of Brayden Wood as the Calvary Christian School Boys’ Soccer Director and Head Coach!

Coach Wood brings an outstanding soccer background, a passion for developing student-athletes, and a commitment to excellence that makes him a tremendous addition to the Calvary family.

A standout player throughout his career, Coach Wood captained CFC Red Star and St. Anne-Pacelli, earning All-Bi City Player of the Year honors as both a junior and senior while leading his team to the No. 1 state ranking. He also represented Georgia ODP and the Region III ODP Team, competing internationally in Costa Rica where he was named Tournament MVP.

At the collegiate level, Coach Wood earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Montevallo, helping lead the Falcons to a GSC Conference Championship, before continuing his playing career at Georgia Southwestern State University. While in college, he earned multiple certifications in personal training, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and Basic Life Support, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and an Associate’s Degree in Nutrition Science.

Coach Wood continues to compete at a high level while coaching with Concorde Fire South. His passion for mentoring young athletes, combined with his knowledge of the game and commitment to developing the whole player, makes him the perfect leader for the future of Calvary Boys Soccer.
