Muscogee Sports-Special Olympics

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some awesome news! Another year of sports has wrapped up for our amazing athletes. We all got together to celebrate with a fun end-of-year party for the 2025-2026 season! It was so awesome that most of our athletes could make it, and everyone had a blast. Our athletes each snagged a certificate of achievement and a cool new T-shirt. We also gave a big shout-out to our Unified Partners because, seriously, our teams couldn't happen without them! And last but not least, we celebrated the Muscogee Sports Board Members.Their dedication to our athletes is what makes everything possible. Huge congrats to all the Muscogee Sports Athletes!

Area 10 organized a swim meet at the Harris County Recreation Center in Harris County, featuring teams from Harris County Champs and Muskogee Sports. The event was a resounding success, with all swimmers performing well and departing with gold medals, highlighting a fantastic evening.

You are invited to attend a guest speaker event hosted by the Phenix City Civitan, featuring a representative from an east Alabama rehabilitation center. The event will be held at Summerville United Methodist Church, located at 1201 32nd Street, Phenix City, Alabama, on July 23rd, 2026, at 5:30 PM. The session is open to everyone interested.

Important announcement, please save the date. Area 10's annual Bingo Night will take place on September 11, featuring an evening of camaraderie with friends, family, and neighbors.

You are invited to attend the second annual Autism Resource Fair at the Peachtree Mall on July 25, 2026. Your attendance will contribute to the promotion of Autism awareness.

Another year of exceptional achievement was marked at the Special Olympics Summer Games, where athletes were cheered on by loved ones as they gave their all. Muscogee Sports enjoyed a standout performance, taking home gold, silver, and bronze medals, and embodying the spirit of teamwork by celebrating their successes together.

The Special Olympics winter games concluded for another year, with inclement weather conditions resulting in several athletes, including some from Muscogee Sports, opting not to participate. Nonetheless, a determined group of athletes attended, including participants from Harris County Champs, our sister agency. All attendees enjoyed themselves and secured gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Today marked another successful year-end Christmas party, where our athletes savored delicious food, engaging games, and quality time with fellow teammates.

Peachtree Mall will host Santa Cares Day on Sunday, December 7, 2025. This occasion offers a delightful time for children and adults alike. We encourage you to participate in the merriment.
