The Special Olympics winter games concluded for another year, with inclement weather conditions resulting in several athletes, including some from Muscogee Sports, opting not to participate. Nonetheless, a determined group of athletes attended, including participants from Harris County Champs, our sister agency. All attendees enjoyed themselves and secured gold, silver, and bronze medals.

The annual Fall Festival was held at Northside High School yesterday. Muscogee Sports athletes were excited to attend. The event offered a range of activities, including games, treats, and mascots. It appeared that everyone was having a wonderful time.

The Area 10 Special Olympics bowling invitational was held today at Stars and Strikes in Columbus, GA, and proved to be a resounding success. All attendees thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The event saw the awarding of numerous gold, silver, bronze medals, and ribbons, all of which were met with great enthusiasm. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our volunteers, whose indispensable assistance was vital to the event's success. Muscogee Sports wishes to thank the law enforcement officers who generously volunteered to congratulate and present awards to our athletes, as well as Mayo Pro Tem Gary Allen, who helped initiate the event. Additionally, we acknowledge the valuable support provided by Councilwoman Joanne Cogle to our athletes. Finally, our heartfelt thanks are extended to the River Dragon mascots and the Clingstones, who took the time to attend, cheer on our athletes, and participate in photo opportunities.

As a unified group of families, our initial goal was to create opportunities for our children to participate in Special Olympics. In pursuing this objective, we have developed a warm, inclusive community. One of our family members recently organized a Halloween party for our athletes, which proved to be a resounding success. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dee and Earl sincerely for hosting this event.
