In association with OGA, the club at Capital City Amateur Golf Tour - Columbus, OH hosts gross and Net Low-Am, Mid-Am and Hi-Am competitions.

About this event

As a type 2 golf club, now in its 15th season, the Capital City Amateur tour is aligned under the Ohio Golf Alliance offering competitive amateur events for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

With live scoring powered by Golf Genius, tournaments are ran in accordance with USGA rules, awarding VISA gifts and options to receive personalized trophies boosted earnings.

Our event at The Lakes will be the 2nd of 4 events on the 2026 tour season that will be a "local major". Points will be worth double per the Capital City point system.

THE LAKES event is a tour stop on all series events in the OH-SOUTH, NORTH and CENTRAL series and #6 of 13 overall tournaments during the 2026 Championship season

Did you know our tournaments are unlimited stroke play? Why does that matter? Well, USGA defines it as elite play for amateurs seeking tournament golf.

On the contrary, 'Maximum score' (e.g. triple bogey limit) is used for play by beginner golfers or golfers who are less skilled or experienced and, more generally, for club level and day-to-day play when pace of play is a particular concern.
